As a British investor, I find the process of establishing a business in Bangladesh unnecessarily complex and bureaucratic. From obtaining a trade licence to completing various regulatory registrations, entrepreneurs often face lengthy procedures, inconsistent requirements, and administrative hurdles that can discourage investment.

Bangladesh has enormous potential to attract foreign direct investment, create jobs, and stimulate economic growth. However, to remain competitive in the global market, the government should simplify business registration processes, reduce unnecessary bureaucracy, improve transparency, and introduce a more streamlined one-stop service for investors.

A business-friendly environment with clear and efficient procedures would significantly enhance investor confidence and encourage more foreign entrepreneurs to choose Bangladesh as a destination for investment and innovation.

It was a pleasure meeting today with Associate Professor Matthew Sutherland, Associate Professor Sujit Biswas, Dr Matthew Shafagi, Head of Academic Partnership, and Renin Arslan, DMS Campus Manager.

We had a highly productive and insightful discussion regarding the formation of potential Board of Governors collaborations and future Knowledge Exchange Partnerships. The meeting highlighted exciting opportunities to strengthen academic leadership, industry engagement, and collaborative innovation within higher education.

It was truly a pleasure reconnecting with two fellow entrepreneurs from our industry.

The three of us have been working in the education sector for over 14–15 years. Over time, our professional collaboration has grown into strong relationships and genuine friendships. Although we operate within the same industry, our business models are quite different — yet we have all built our own paths and successes.

After a long period, it was great to sit together again, reflect on the journey, share experiences, and discuss the future of education.

If India truly doesn’t interfere in Bangladesh’s internal affairs, why is it sheltering ex-PM Sheikh Hasina and her ministers in safe houses? Protecting a fallen government accused of repression is not neutrality—it’s interference. India should deport them to Bangladesh immediately and let justice take its course.
