@epiphanythefilm has joined the official selection of “Souss International Short Film Festival” in Morocco. The only film from the US. Bravo, team, for our commitment to the onscreen relationships and story that made this film so special 💙💙✨
@nolahaynes_ I do have a question tho. 1. Is it our job as artists to only show certain groups as only benevolent? 2. Have foster children been demonized in the media historically? I haven’t noticed that all serial killer characters have a foster background?
@nolahaynes_ Oh my. This must be said and shared. Those are dangerous tropes played out in front of us. Thank you for this NECESSARY perspective and critique
@notcapnamerica@sullydish@jonstewart Land. Housing. Prison pipeline. Deadly policing. Medical: experimentation, discrimination. The glass ceiling in business. That’s 6 systems off the top of my head. Not •one• . And housing, of all systems, is a huge deal and the basis for most wealth in USA 💡
@bodycourage You said, how can I be body positive when there’s nothing positive about me. I didn’t shed Internet tears, I actually cried. You’re positively perfect, D. U just put up a big mirror in my face because I don’t think I could write this tweet to myself right now. Stay up beauty.
@Elizaeverafter@JustLatasha404 Same with the parents story line. In the Documentary episode it was a entirely different set of facts than in the Bye, Girl episode. Mothers had the same name but different lifes. Made me think that the perspective we got through the show was all Dre, and nothing matched reality.
