@Anna_K_speaking@UniOulu Is there any possibility to work in your lab on other aspects of environmental microbiology impacting human health including wastewater treatment?
@sasha_zabelski Worst is when you're not the first author but you've got to manage the whole paper since the first author has no knowledge of drafting a paper, and you know you can't let them make a mess in there as your effort is included there too π
@WastewaterGray I know people with over 400 publications while they're just in the middle of their post doc. Interestingly, the papers are in a vast range of topics, to an absolute extent impossible for one to be an expert in all the areas.
@ThePhDPlace Have drafted several papers in (please check the RG link in my profile): environmental microbiology, biodegradation, bioremediation, bioleaching.
My PhD is in Biological Wastewater Treatment (currently have one paper in review)
Will be glad to co-author in the mentioned fields.
@MushtaqBilalPhD Honestly, these tips are worth millions of dollars for me as I'm about to start my PhD. Don't know how to thank you for this brilliant thread π
A chance this month to win a free copy of my 2020 book ' Fixed-Film Reactors in #Wastewater Treatment'. Just retweet or like this post to be included in the February draw. Find out more about the book at https://t.co/76VhPiQtOx #biofilms#odors#microbiology@worldscientific
@ThePhDPlace Then lead me not to be surprised as a prospective one π€
Is it worth of spending 4 years for sb thinking about working in industry afterward?
