🚨 Hyderabad ASDD Deletion Report is out

🗳️ Total deletions equal 89% of the 2023 turnout. In Malakpet (112%) and Yakutpura (110%), deletions exceed the total votes cast.

🧍92% of the deleted voters are *living* ie. non-dead voters. Only 8.1% of deletions were recorded as deaths. The biggest reason was “permanently shifted” (69.3%), followed by “untraceable/absent” (17.5%).

📍 On avg, 500+ voters got deleted from each booth in Hyderabad

Booth-level hotspots are concentrated in Yakutpura:

👩 9.28 lakh women were deleted. At Yakutpura Booth 297 alone, 535 women were removed. Of them, 527 were living, non-death deletions.

☪️ Muslim names make up 40.7% of all deletions, rising to 85.9% in Bahadurpura, 72.4% in Chandrayangutta and 62.4% in Charminar. This is the share of deletions, not a religion-wise deletion rate.

#OPINION | It seems that the Supreme Court was more concerned about the voters being wrongly included in the voters’ list. It was contended that not one such voter should be included in the voters’ list.

It now appears that lakhs of voters who were entitled to vote have been excluded and a minuscule number were prima facie not entitled to vote.

Had the Supreme Court known about these massive deletions, it probably would not have approved the SIR exercise.

To date, the Supreme Court has not been told how many Bangladeshis have been found in the voters’ list, the political narrative on the basis of which this exercise commenced.

The question now is what the court should do, given these revelations.

If lakhs of voters were wrongly excluded, and I dare say lakhs may not have filed appeals, the truth regarding those names will never be known.
