Last October, some 2000 Christians gathered in Times Square to celebrate the Eucharist. No one seemed to have a problem with it.
In November, the 10th annual Diwali celebration, a Hindu one, drew huge crowds, booths and other such trappings. No one complained.
Today, hundreds of Jewish teens "took over" Times Square, also an annual event. No one complained.
But earlier this week, hundreds of Muslims gathered in Times Square for Tarawih prayers, marking the start of Ramadan. That was greeted with responses like the contemptible one below. The #Islamophobia on display is very real, and anyone taking issue like this certainly does have a problem with Islam. And also with common decency. They are, however, quite comfortable with hypocrisy.

Yep, this man is a great example of that. He was a scholar and a prince and remained a practicing Muslim during his time in slavery in Maryland in the 1730s.

The idea that Muslims being in the United States is a modern thing is just ignorant.
