Why shouldn't bureaucracy be seen through a negative and overly critical lens?
Bureaucratic inefficiencies
Bureaucratic hurdles
Bureaucratic corruption
Bureaucratic red tapism
There's a growing tendency to view bureaucracy through a negative lens, with civil servants (growing use of the word 'babu' for them) - being unfairly singled out whenever something goes wrong... Having spent the past 17 years working closely with bureaucrats in multiple states, I can attest that many are not only competent but truly extraordinary in their commitment & abilities.
Administration is far more complex than it appears from the outside... Numerous factors shape outcomes - political interference/pressure, outdated administrative structures, rigid procedures, limited resources, understaffed teams, absence of good teams, institutional inertia, etc. Many other constraints too.
Bureaucracy isn't a 9 to 5 job... Unpredictable workloads... Administrative crises... Urgent policy matters... Unforeseen events... All of these require officers to stay late or respond outside regular hours. Even after the Secretariat closes & on holidays like Chhath/Diwali, officers have been seen working. Extended work hours impact both their mental & physical health. Leads to stress and burnout... I'm not even talking about personal sacrifices.
Raising issues is good and very important... but meaningful conversation requires understanding the broader dynamics at play, rather than solely blaming one group. Important to acknowledge these challenges & avoid painting all bureaucrats with the same brush.
Keeping the punishment aside
Was there a need for the mother to film and upload the content?
What if the child reciprocates in a similar fashion after a decade, admonishing his aging mother for a petty mistake, films and uploads the content???
Actions have repercussions.
In the absence of these, hobbies play a good substitute. Learning a new subject or skill, art and craft, gardening, sewing, stitching, embroidery, food processing, teaching for free, community service at the local temple, children or old age home.
Walkable road, green spaces, parks & jogging tracks, stray dogs & vendor free zones, sports culture, community/ culture recreation clubs go a long way in keeping us sane, sound and hopeful for the future. Must for mental health.
Sadly, we hardly find any of these around us.
They need to be fired. Because of them India faces huge monetary and soft power loss. India loses lives because of them as riots & unrest are freely instigated. And anti-national elements incited to derail and devastate. Indians also face racism and attacks. They need to go. Who?
People calling this as school boy fantasy, consensual etc.. have no idea how traumatic such events are...how grooming happens, how child, teen or even a young adult can be coerced, manipulated and threatened to participate for a really long time.
It is not rice 3x a day. It is servings of rice 3× in the main meal. Usually first portion of rice with rasam & papadam, second with sambar & poriyal, third with thayir. Now this is a very good meal for physically active person. Plethora of flavours & taste but loaded.
People are either making reels, or watching reels or talking on phone non stop till the battery dies. Is this the demographic dividend we were suppose to reap?
Nothing comes for free. Cheaper smartphones, cheaper internet, free social media...it isn't a coincidence but a plan
Today I got a small but sharp insight into why members of otherwise respectable rural families are posting sleazy reels.
My cab driver asked if I was on Instagram.
Then he suggested an account and asked how was it.
I scrolled through it and asked - who is this woman?
‘That’s my wife, back in Allahabad’
Reel after reel showed her sweeping a big aangan. Videos were shot from an angle - elevated and carefully framed to show her from front. Each reel had about 11-12K views. Followers 12K. And comments -
‘Bhabhiji you are really pretty’
‘Thoda zoom in please’
‘Agni baar paas se banao.”
It wasn’t outright sleazy but definitely suggestive.
I asked him why he thought this was good content.
He said - ‘people like her, for some reason. Of course she is beautiful. I keep telling her to stay consistent. Consistency is the key for social media’
I asked - ‘what do you guys get out of doing this?’
He - ‘Maybe you don’t know much about social media. You look like you work in an office. But people earn lakhs and crores from reels. Just look around.’
Me - ‘has she earned anything yet?’
He - ‘No. But once the views cross one lakh, money starts. It just does. We hear these stories all the time.’
Then I gathered courage and asked - ‘isn’t it inappropriate? Strangers are ogling at your wife’
His reply - ‘Even film heroines are ogled at. And they are big stars. There is no problem if ogling is happening from a distance. And if she can earn multiple times of what I earn driving a cab, then why not?’
People think everyone can earn lakhs out of making reels. That sleaze is acceptable because filmy people also do it and they are stars and icons. I did not have the heart to tell him while he was driving a cab in Delhi, she was going to elope with one of her admirers soon.
What exactly is wrong with this video?
She is gainfully employed, reasonably fit, maintains a clean house, knows how to cook, no drinking or debauchery after corporate hours
But incels are not satisfied unless they see her in pallu getting beaten by their mom for more dahej
🚨 Shocking in Bareilly!
A 22-year-old harasser Mussabir dared to grope a schoolgirl in broad daylight in Izzatnagar.
Within hours of the CCTV footage going viral, UP Police shot him in the leg during an encounter. Yogi's Justice limped faster than criminal could run. 🔥👮♂️
I only need 10% of the kids born and raised in these buildings to break the chain and come out as winner in life. That alone will keep the taxpayer in me happy.

What irritates me most about such handles is that they are shameless engagement farmers. This video while being cute has nothing to do with Himachal.
you can actually read the name of school - NSCBAV Netaji Subhash Chandra Bose aawasiya vidyalaya . There aren’t NScBAV residential schools in Himachal. This video is most likely from Arunachal Pradesh where there are 150+ such schools. even the dress the kid is wearing doesn’t fit Himachal
