JUST IN: The NBA’s investigation into whether the Clippers circumvented the salary cap to pay Kawhi Leonard could drag into 2027 if the sides don’t agree on the findings or a proposed settlement, per @Baxter.
At this point the NBPA needs to demand this end. Players are entitled to a fair and speedy investigation with a conclusion. This is ridiculous. Just decide a punishment and move on

There’s no perfect way to call a sport, but there’s too much discretion in ⚽️ stoppage time can run on, there’s one ref making all the calls as opposed to multiple, VAR is fickle, match ends on ref’s whistle not clock or outcome. This is why US doesn’t watch it outside WC
