its been a tough year to be a Jew. so much noise and hate and conflict and violence. can be hard to navigate the truth with so much chaos. i traveled to Israel a few months ago, a mother walked me through her home where her family was murdered and mutilated. no media, no reporters, it was just a mom talking to me. i thought of my own kids and how they were safe and happy as she described how hers were taken. i don't remember all of what she told me but i remember when she planely asked 'why do they hate us so much?'. seems like things are going to get worse in this world bfore they get better but hate and violence is an ugly awful part of humanity. i hope someday we find a way to have less of it.
