Govt and its trolls are claiming that govt has removed taxes from diesel. This is not true. The govt is charging custom duty of Rs 35.74 per litre and charging a climate levy of Rs 2.5 for total tax on diesel of Rs 35.74.

Also given that on average 16 crore litres of diesel and 22 crore litres of petrol are sold in Pakistan weekly, by transferring Rs 55 PDL from diesel to petrol, government is increasing its collection by Rs 330 crore per week.

The new price of petrol is Rs 458.41 per litre. It was increased by Rs 134 per litre last night. This increase includes an increase of Rs 55 in petroleum levy. So the government decided to increase tax on petrol by Rs 55 at the same time it was raising prices.

So let’s understand this. The government last night raised petrol prices by Rs 79 per litre but at the same time also decided to raise taxes on petrol by Rs 55 for a total increase of Rs 134 per litre. And it keeps saying it doesn’t want to burden the people and wants to lift the burden itself. Theek ho gaya.

I watched the complete YouTube video by Ducky Bhai and honestly it’s disturbing.
If even half of these allegations are proven true, then it exposes a very ugly reality of how power can be misused in this country.

If the allegations against Assistant Director Sarfaraz Chaudhry are proven in court, then he must be punished and made an example not protected. No badge, no post and no influence should put anyone above the law.

Pakistan doesn’t collapse because of enemies, it collapses when its own people lose faith in justice. Accountability is not optional, it’s necessary.
