The people of Busoga and I join the Royal Family and the people of Tooro Kingdom in mourning the passing of His Majesty Omukama Oyo Nyimba Kabamba Iguru Rukidi IV.
His Majesty was one of the visionary traditional leaders of our time, whose leadership, humility and commitment to preserving culture while inspiring a new generation left a lasting mark on Tooro, Uganda and beyond.
During this hour of profound grief, our thoughts and prayers are with the Royal Family and the entire people of Tooro Kingdom, who have lost a beloved King and a guiding force.
In Omukama Oyo, Uganda has lost an important voice and a distinguished cultural leader whose legacy will endure for generations.
May His Majesty’s soul rest in eternal peace.
Unity and world peace transcend cultural boundaries, reminding us that despite our diverse languages, traditions, and beliefs, our shared humanity binds us together.
When people choose understanding over division, compassion over conflict, and dialogue over silence, they create bridges that connect communities across the world. True peace is not the absence of differences, but the ability to respect and celebrate them while working toward a common good.
In a world that is increasingly interconnected, unity becomes not just an ideal, but a responsibility—one that calls on each of us to act with kindness, empathy, and a genuine commitment to harmony.
