Protecting my peace sometimes looks boring

and that’s actually a good sign.

We have the same conversation every year. Stop idolizing social media relationships.

[Shakira Cross @ShakiraCross2]

When waiting well for the Lord, we know it presents great challenges. We are often confused and don’t understand.

But we don’t talk enough about how sweet it is to wait well for the Lord—

just to take Him at His word. 🤍

[Shakira Cross @ShakiraCross2]

I am no longer interested in becoming someone else in the new year. I am making more room to become more of myself in Christ Jesus.

[Shakira Cross @ShakiraCross2]

“…and we take captive every thought to make it obedient to Christ.”

My therapist dropped this hard truth:

“You compensate for being wanted by always making yourself needed.”

Give me the hymns. Every single time.

In the chaos I am chosen.

[Shakira Cross @ShakiraCross2]

Lord, I want You more than I want the promise.

[Shakira Cross @ShakiraCross2]

If someone isn’t moving with honesty, integrity, or intention, you’re not my assignment.

God has given me too much discernment to entertain anything less.

I’m so glad you’re no longer accepting the unacceptable.

Your healed heart is ready to move forward.

Tomorrow is the 20th anniversary of Be. It’s hard to grasp that it was 20 years ago. What Ye was doing was super special, what J Dilla was doing was super special and I am forever grateful to them and everyone who contributed to this album. Be means so much to me because I have had so many different types of people tell me what it means to them. And there is no greater feeling than to have your music mean something. Thank you GOD you are the greatest.

In celebration of this album, we have pressed a 2LP translucent yellow marble blend. This limited-edition vinyl includes the original track list on LP 1 and the albums instrumentals on LP 2. The first 750 copies will include a signed print from me of the album cover.

We have also released a deluxe version on all streaming services which features the album, instrumentals, and these bonus cuts. Go check it out wherever you listen to music and celebrate 20 years of Be with me. https://t.co/KLM22wiSZ3
