Crimes against women are happening day by day – rape, rape of small girls, burning of unmarried women, harassing them, exploiting women at the workplace, misbehaving with them.

Despite having so many rules and laws, this is the condition of women in our India.

A similar incident also came to my notice, on which an FIR was filed. but the accused is still using his powerful connections.

In November 2022, a 28-year-old woman in Bengaluru meets a man through a dating app... After about a month of conversation, he calls her to meet... The girl develops reasonable trust and goes to the place he called her to... There, he offers her cold drinks and snacks...

But if this incident had happened in a small town or village, the family would be more worried about their social disgrace and the girl’s marriage than about the girl herself — and then who knows what step would have been taken...?

She immediately reports it to the cyber police, where her videos and photos are taken down... After the FIR, the search for the accused is currently ongoing...

And if somehow under pressure they do go to jail, they repeatedly come out on parole and live a comfortable, luxurious life.
This is the reason why crimes against women are increasing, and although we do talk about their safety in public but still no place that is truly safe.

A 13-year-old minor girl was kidnapped from Ganganagar, Rajasthan by an auto driver and sold to a hotel. There, 30 different people raped her over 5 days, and when the matter came to notice and pressure mounted, the police started conducting raids.

Today in our country, even in serious criminal cases, the criminal/accused gets bail on the strength of their connections, on the strength of their influence, or sometimes an FIR isn’t even registered against them.

It’s better to tell your parents about your wish in time, and parents too should not force or pressure anyone on matters like marriage... How tragic it is to take an innocent person’s life just to fulfill your own wishes/dreams.
