I've emerged
from bottomless pits
Survived
an aching heart
In the trenches
I've bided time
Lived
To fight another day
I yearn, however
A kind word
A hand
Placed over my shoulder
Coolness
Like of morning breeze
In its perpetual absence, O' Lord
I've learned to live without it.
Not sure how any of this balderdash is relevant to what she said. She never denied her past but that is exactly what it is, her past. The fact that a strawman needed to be struck here shows there's no substance to post a counter.
Well nobody wud ever know you, if u didnt enter bollywood. And do movies like Dangal and sky is pink.
The reason everyone knows you is not that u have become an islamic preacher, its because u r the actress of dangal and thats why ur name is ZAIRA WASIM n not any xyz zaira wasim
Kashmiris are an interesting Qoum. Very good at biding time for survival and appearing to give what others want out of them through belligerence. Then suddenly on a random Friday, when conditions reach maturity after years or decades, they unleash the inapparent.
@BrunoAndol86942@dannyseguratv Why don't the others do the same and win if Islam's "manipulating himself into a win" plan (whatever that means) works so well? It's about winning afterall.
I travelled on this road today at around 3:00 pm. It was absolutely bone dry then. Looks like one shower has exposed the smart city's drainage system or rather lack of it.
It's not unfair to aspire for a better quality of life and to want the freedom that deen provides us when the society deprives us of it on one pretext or the other.
The participants in these conversations are never a monolith. Most of our GenZ are proud muslims with just demands.

Over the last few days, I've noticed many young Kashmiris especially girls posting about leaving Kashmir and dreaming of becoming citizens of foreign countries.
Everyone has the right to choose where they want to live. However, what surprises me is that some seem to associate happiness only with a liberal lifestyle, as if it is the ultimate answer to every problem. In my view, reality is often far more complex.
I know scholars and professionals who are currently living abroad, yet many of them dream of returning to Kashmir someday.Whenever I've discussed this with my friends, many have also expressed a desire to leave Kashmir but not because they seek a liberal or Western lifestyle. They want better opportunities, stability, and relief from the hardships, wounds and anxieties they have experienced here.
If someone chooses to move abroad, that is their personal decision, and it deserves respect. But for me, no place in the world can replace Kashmir. The love, the landscapes, the culture, the people and the emotions attached to this land are truly unique.
When Aga Shahid Ali wrote, *Kashmir shrinks into my mailbox,* I felt the longing behind those words. Distance may change where we live, but it cannot erase where we belong.
Boys and girls may experience many of the same struggles, yet they often respond to them differently. That's part of the diversity of human experience.
Personally, I believe that every society has its strengths and weaknesses. While many Western countries offer opportunities,I value Kashmir's sense of family, community, and belonging more than anything else.
If I were given a thousand lives, I would still be proud to be a resident of Kashmir and, above all,a proud Kashmiri.
Thank you.
Everybody's stuck in something that they want to get out of. Whether it's a toxic 9 to 5 or an unhappy marriage. On surface level, u can simply choose to walk out today. But u won't. Because beyond surface level, the invisible pressures of life & society are what keep u a slave.
It's never about liking you when you're depressed. The ones that love you would not like that you're depressed. It's about staying by your side even when you're going through such a phase.
Nobody likes you when you're depressed.
Plain and simple. We can talk all day about mental health and how important it is, but the moment you are depressed, people start to distance themselves. They see you as negative, a burden, and someone too heavy to handle.
Often u get too comfortable to take risks that could lead to greater rewards. & then some day, if u r an honest soul, God takes matters into His own hands & makes u uncomfortable enough in ur current state that u r compelled to venture out & reach the elevated space u deserve.
"... it will suffice to say that the system of administration had degraded the people and taken all heart out of them. The country was in confusion, the revenue was falling off, and those in authority were making hay while the sun shone."
- Sir W. Lawrence, The Valley of Kashmir
Today, I visited the Power Department, and what I saw will stay with me for a long time. The office was filled with poor men and women whose electricity had been disconnected through smart meters. They werenβt asking for charity. They were begging for a little time.
One father with tears in his eyes pleaded before the engineer.
Sir I just got my daughter married. I couldnβt arrange 5,200 because of the wedding expenses. Please give me just two days. I promise I will pay every rupee.
The answer was simple. Sorry we canβt do anything. It is automatic. First pay. Only then will your connection be restored. My heart sank. Tell me How much money do government departments owe the Power Department? Have their electricity connections been disconnected? How much do politically connected and influential people owe? Have their connections been snapped?
Or is the law meant only for the poor?
A poor family misses one payment because of illness, a daughterβs marriage, or unemployment and their home is plunged into darkness. Meanwhile those with power and influence rarely face the same consequences. This isnβt just about electricity. Itβs about dignity. Itβs about justice. Itβs about humanity. If rules are to be enforced they must be enforced equally. Justice cannot have two standards one for the powerful and another for the powerless. For countless struggling families, smart meters have become a symbol of fear rather than progress.
Allah Reham Karay.
