🚨 AI developers: Check your dependencies!

CERT-In issued an advisory on Oct 23 about a supply-chain compromise involving LiteLLM 1.107.0 and reportedly compromised Docker images.

Potential risks include credential theft and remote code execution.

in the last three weeks there have been more than 20 major cybersecurity incidents. not in a year. not in a quarter. in three weeks

any ONE of these would normally be the biggest story of the year

PHP: two critical holes in the code behind about 70% of websites. severity 9.2 out of 10. governments pulled their own sites offline

GitLab: where companies store their code. a perfect 10 out of 10 severity hole in every version since 2014

Railway: a service that runs apps for other companies was hacked. it told all users to replace their secret keys

LiteLLM: an AI tool downloaded about 23 million times a week shipped a password stealer for about two hours

Zeabur: an app hosting service says 321,810 accounts were hit. it's shutting down by the end of the year

Microsoft: says a China-aligned hacking group used AI helpers against hundreds of organizations. some fully taken over in under 3 hours

Ahold Delhaize: the owner of Food Lion and Stop & Shop pulled its websites and apps offline after an attack

and that's not even half the list

AI helpers are now doing the hacking. one hacker broke into more than 100 companies with them. about $50 a break-in

security experts are openly rattled. one at Johns Hopkins calls the internet "dry tinder". a former OpenAI researcher says it feels like March 1, 2020 for online security and asks if internet lockdowns are a couple of months away

if you run a website, use cloud apps, or keep passwords and keys saved online you are potentially affected

update everything. change your passwords on key accounts. turn on two-step login (2FA) everywhere. back up what you can't lose

this is not a normal week on the internet. this is something different

5. GitLab [10.0/10] PERFECT SCORE. Unauth RCE, no login needed.

6. Node.js [CVE-2026-111497] Brotli decoder RCE + TLS bypass. 10 CVEs patched today. Also blocked eMudhra.

7. Railway BREACHED TODAY. Env variables decrypted. Your API keys & DB passwords exposed. Rotate all.

8. OpenCode BREACHED. OpenAI, Anthropic, Google API keys exposed for Console users. Distillation attack. Bills run up in $$$$.

9. LiteLLM PyPI v1.107.0 was MALWARE today morning. Steals credentials + backdoor.

10. Plex2Shell ACTIVELY EXPLOITED. Hackers installing cryptominers LIVE. CISA KEV, deadline Oct 23.

AI found the bugs. AI is exploiting them. Humans can't patch fast enough.

Arround 10+ days gone unfortunately no response or clarification from the officials.

😊 The fun part is if you mail to any support like chrome or microsoft edge or others you will get reponse within hour and DM to resolve the issue by proper follow up.

@NIELITIndia is doing progress on the technology field for India. But these concerns are small to respond even for there management team/support team.

🚨 185+ NIELIT (Ministry of IT) 'O' Level students in Puri, Odisha were marked absent because the exam venue wasn’t shifted from Bhubaneswar despite repeated requests. This negligence puts their careers at risk.

Prior to the commencement of the practical exams, our institution formally requested the NIELIT Examination Section to shift/reschedule the examination venue from Bhubaneswar to Puri City due to severe local travel constraints and financial hardship faced by the students. Regrettably, NIELIT failed to provide a resolution or timely communication.

We also formally submitted representations and requests for intervention to key administrative and public representatives, including: District Magistrate & Collector, Puri (Shri Dibya Jyoti Parida, IAS), Hon'ble Member of Parliament, Puri Lok Sabha (Dr. Sambit Patra) and others. While these dignitaries took cognizance of the matter and issued official inquiries/communications to the NIELIT authorities requesting redressal, NIELIT has neither acted upon these official queries nor resolved the issue on their end.

A re-exam in Puri, Odisha is urgently needed for protecting the academic timeline and career prospects of these affected students. @abhijeet_dipke please intervene!
