You can tell this type by how they handle you when you approach them about a mistake they’ve made that harmed you. Whether they actually listen or whether they invalidate or avoid you because it doesn’t mesh well with the “good guy” persona they’d like to keep. You often also see the mask fall off when they’re approached about how their behaviour negatively impacted you. They take it as a personal attack and can quickly get cold/mean.

A woman can appreciate everything you do and still be unhappy with what she experiences when she’s actually with you.

And I think that’s where some men misunderstand women completely.
