@JenAldenbooks Not sure if this will help but sometimes it’s not the words that fall flat but the unspoken parts - the expressions, body language, other thoughts in MC’s head, etc. Maybe try to enhance the tension around the dialogue, instead of the dialogue itself 🤷🏻‍♀️
