The ball wasn't even there yet, and it hit the runner on the back of his right knee AS he touched the bag.. Bad throw, making a play on it put him in the runner's path..

What's he supposed to do, stop and let him make a play on a bad throw?? Get in the runners way and get run over.. Simple..

@miles_burton24 @hayden_heinze @gmcknight0383 @BaseballBros I've been playing, coaching and watching baseball for 36 of my 42 years, and I can honestly say that this is the first time I've ever ever seen or heard of a runner being called out for running down the baseline instead of the lane. Pitcher about threw it into the dugout anyway.

It's on the baseline in fair territory.. Now if there was an extra base like on a softball field, different story.. That's one of those rules I wouldn't want to win by..
