Crap at being an Adventure cyclist, blogger, endurance cyclist, aviation engineer, Excellent dreamer and procrastinator. Cycled a bit, may have been a dream.
Imagine having 3 photo's of yourself at a beach on the East coast of a continent. Could mean nothing unless you started all 3 trips at the West coast :). All memories in the bank. All very surreal once back home and thinking of looking for work....
@anjum_ai Nah, the winning answer is "I Cycled across a continent and will do the same again 5 years from now, I'm available for 5 years if, you play your cards right"
@PrestonPysh Thank you for your angle of attack, low drag and respect for the centre of pressure in recents years. It's better to glide before you need the auto rotate :) I really appreciate listening to many 100's of hours of your content in recent years.
My Blonde wife after driving 70km at 100km/h " On the way home and actually the last couple of days my rear wheel is making strange noises, ooh and the tire has a lump in it".
Me " let me guess, the lump is at the bottom when parked? "
For the 3 people still following my cycling stuff, I've just spent two days bringing my outdated website back to life. Probably a suitable time to start cycling again :) https://t.co/kGpPGgw5mD
@LawrenceLepard@JoshMandell6 Gave guidance and stopped issuing for a couple of weeks to prove it doesn't matter and shut up the whiners, got back to business. Nothing to see here.
Pro tip: Don't peel flaking paint near your bottom bracket
It had to happen after 12k of sweat dripping in Africa in 2011-12, 10000km commuting in all weather in Europe, 10000km touring in Europe, 2 extreme Winter trips and many more challenges including a sand blast an repaint a few years ago.
@TFL1728 Many years ago I escaped a tour in Kosovo by volunteering to stay in Northern Ireland for an extra 6 months. That was the week I decided I was making poor life choices as a 24 yr old British soldier. Stopped being a pawn soon after that.
From time to time during a long trip you find a place that has a nice garden to chill out in where the coffee and food are good and the bed and shower are clean and the staff tolerable.
The garden in my new house makes me think of those places. Think I’m smashing suburbia. Ticking time bomb all the same.
