To my friends across Tennessee:
@KnoxDems FLIPPED school board seats and a county commission seat tonight. Only one party here has made gains each election for 4 cycles…Democrats.
It’s not a matter of IF Knox County flips Blue, it’s a matter of WHEN Knox County flips BLUE 🇺🇸
As a father of three KCS students, I’m bringing the skin-in-the-game and perspective we need in the fight to strengthen and defend Knox County’s public school.
5,767 folks cast their votes early in the 4th District 🗳️
I’m honored by the votes earned. The work continues in the final sprint to Election Day, August 1st!
Today while knocking doors, I met a woman and her two kids at their door. She was a naturalized citizen from Venezuela, and she explained to her children we should never take our vote for granted — because elections are not free and fair in Venezuela.
As of today, 1,841 folks have cast their votes in the 4th District 🗳️
I’m honored by the votes I’ve earned so far. The work continues! Polls are open today until 6pm, and on Saturday 10am-3pm.
Another amazing evening spent with 4th District neighbors to discuss the issues facing our community, our schools, and our way forward as a county. Thank you to Marylaine & Steven Dreise for hosting us in Deane Hill tonight! Off to knock more doors this evening 🚪✊
Good morning, Knox County! It’s day five of early voting 🗳️
Hope you’ll join me in sending a strong message at the ballot box by voting early today. Find one near you at https://t.co/tnNE5WJ4em
While my opponent continues to spin my experience on City Council as a negative, I’m proud of what we accomplished — including a fight I led to increase funding for public schools.
“Councilman Shane Jackson made the motion that finally passed unanimously.”https://t.co/LKyQd5rI6J
Yesterday, 313 voters participated in this decision-making part of the 4th District’s community conversation on the first day of Early Voting 🗳️
I’m honored by the votes I’ve earned. The work continues!
I’m honored to have earned the esteemed endorsements of City Council members Tommy Smith, Andrew Roberto, Seema Singh, Lauren Rider, and Debbie Helsley! 🎉
I’m incredibly proud of the progressive change we’ve seen in Knoxville thanks to the leadership of these public servants.
Rent is due for thousands in Knox County today.
With rents up nearly 50%, many have been priced out of our community or work multiple jobs to make ends meet.
Let’s build our way out of the housing crisis and ensure our children and grandchildren can afford to live in Knoxville.
Thank you to the League of Women Voters for hosting tonight’s forum and to the citizens and candidates who showed up.
Our democracy thrives when all of us are engaged in the process.
