I felt very privileged to have been asked by @sky_larking and Paul Pule #menaliveaustralia to bring a #story to a workshop for #XRcambridge@CamFolkFest to demonstrate how story can quickly and gently express a view that is personal or political. I used an Aesop fable @sfs_uk
@RobGMacfarlane @bluekirkhope @david_gange I am along with many things, a traditional Oral Storyteller of folk & fairy tales. Your books with there words and images, have also helped me construct (or see) images in my head, especially of landscape and flora, which entwines with my telling of traditional stories.
@RobGMacfarlane @bluekirkhope @david_gange It led me to reflect on my childhood, being out in the woods etc. Since reading, I made changes, some of my work each week is now in the woods. It inspired me to sleep out in a wood over night. It led me to dream and to do, to take risks, which helped my MH considerably thank you
@bluekirkhope @RobGMacfarlane @david_gange I am about three quarters of my way through Underland, its quite a journey, I am sure that once finished, I will reflect back at it as a whole. as an author he never fails to inspire and astound me, but mainly inspire. The Wild Places literally changed my life
