I deposited a check on July 7th and it got put on hold until July 16th. My employers checking account is fully funded and I deposit 3 checks a month. My bank is a major bank. No excuse for the delay. We need a crypto payroll product with the slogan “it’s my money and I need it now!”
@cappgun3@RippleXity Bitcoin is digital gold figuratively. This is literally tokenized gold. It isn't the only tokenized gold that is tokenized either. If you are interested always research the issuer to see if they have 1:1 auditable reserves.
Yeah you’re right and I just checked just after writing that and the pheonix memecoin and RLUSD are the only things with any volume 😂. You can get 5pct APR for risking your money against an XRP and memecoin pair. RLUSD swapping is too efficient and liquid to have significant returns. Seems like XRP is king and there doesn’t seem to be much point in having another utility token on XRPL.
@NathanMuirr@cbusfritz@APEXCONSULTNFA XRPL will never have smart contracts with exception of hooks and sidechains. That’s by design to keep it fast. What it does have is a DEX built in that pools all the liquidity. The DEX’s are Solana are built by 3rd party developers and liquidity is fragmented between them.
@cbusfritz@APEXCONSULTNFA Not having smart contracts is a feature not a bug. That said Solana is fast and has smart contracts. Solana doesn’t have a DEX and relies on smart contracts for that. Therefore liquidity is spread between all those services on Solana but on XRPL it’s all on the DEX.
@Steadysurperior@DenelleDixon@nchakar@The_DTCC Stellar doesn’t start tokenizing for the DTCC until 2027. Ripple Prime is already tied in to the DTCC for post trade settlement. Ripple will use the XRPL where it provides post settlement increases in efficiency.
You have a very good understanding and a lot of the elements of what you said help inform people on how this works. Only thing I disagree with is using that very hypothetically small float. Institutions will have a large portion of XRP holdings if widespread adoption occurs and they won’t be sitting on it. They’ll be providing liquidity for the yield. Even retail will be providing liquidity for yield. It’s impossible to say how much gets devoted to liquidity and how much collects dust in wallets but I think it’s a lot more than 100 million XRP. Probably more like 10 - 30 billion XRP. It still leaves room for it to get into the $5 to $10 range short term and $50 to $100 long term.
He knows the XRP community is 100x Chainlink. He is engagement farming. XRP tokenomics mean it can be a liquidity flywheel. LINK is never going to be a top 5 cryptocurrency because the demand for it via fees and staking does not require much capital value. X has a block feature that’s good for FUD’ers like this.
@pumpius Crypto ETFs get a 100pct haircut. Zero chance they are giving XRP any collateral value at this time. It says “generated answer” which is their AI help tool hallucinating. It also says share and IPO there. It confuses XRP with an equity.
@XRPMythBuster@ChadSteingraber This seems to be the most likely explanation. While XRP may someday be able to be used as collateral I doubt that is already in play.
