@paulkrugman This is very encouraging, but I would say it's still too soon to say. Gas prices are on the rise again, and the markets are still uncertain. I agree that this is good news though.
@SydneyLWatson I've had experience with that too, I think you made some legitimate points. A narc can seem reasonable at times, but in my experience they end up showing who they really are. It's also a huge red flag that she made private messages public so he deserves the benefit of the doubt
@MeghanEMurphy Is it possible that he felt the way she was acting was appropriate for someone who is single? He communicated his boundaries respectfully. I agree you shouldn't expect someone to change for you, but it doesn't seem like he did.
about gender to treat a trans person with dignity. I believe there are ulterior motives involved, and it's causing a back fire effect. People are fed up with a toxic ideology being forced down their throats, and trans people are caught in the cross fire.
I agree that we should try to be more accepting and tolerant of trans people. At the same time, there is an underlying ideology about gender that is toxic that is being forced on society in the name of helping trans people. I don't have to believe in the nonsense being espoused
@Kkatarinako What I read is I should whip out my phone as early as possible in a conversation to weed out the shallow women who care about something like that... got it. 👍
"Progressive ideology is growing stronger and intruding further into all areas of science. And because it’s “progressive,” and because most scientists are liberals, few of us dare oppose these restrictions on our freedom. Unless there is a change in the Zeitgeist, and unless scientists finally find the courage to speak up against the toxic effects of ideology on their field, in a few decades science will be very different from what it is now. Indeed, it’s doubtful that we’d recognize it as science at all."
Important article by Jerry A. Coyne & Luana S. Maroja. Time for scientists to get courageous.

@therabbithole@nytimes@bariweiss The main people who were considered the initial "members" may have broken up, but there still very much exists a vibrant group of heterodox intellectuals connecting on the virtues of free speech and respectful discourse.
@elonmusk I'm a huge fan of yours and want to see you succeed. Changing how you enforce policies before informing everyone of said changes doesn't seem to be working, though.
Also, it appears as though there's a lot of unilateral decision making, which comes off as authoritarian.
@IOHK_Charles@3TGMCrypto I consider myself a part of both ADA and XRP communities. I agree there's a lot of toxicity in crypto. This tweet is no exception.
