@Norton "Too bad" isn't an apology. Making every step towards cancelling an agonizing chore isn't an apology, although it IS a pretty good way of pushing people past the 60 day refund policy...
@Norton I have been trying for FAR too long to cancel my subscription and request a refund, and your predatory website design has made it literally impossible for me to get help online or self serve. It should not be this difficult to at least send an email asking for help.
@NortonSupport Trying to get help from a real human being has been a nightmare, and your "Chat Support Agent" is just a glorified self-serve menu.
I just want the constant notifications and upselling to stop. I'm already a paying customer, but not for long at this rate.
@wrbennettnl @mhanrahan709 I absolutely doubt it, we've learned that the hard way time and again. The issue, as usual, is a complete lack of accountability.
@VOCMNEWS 'magine that. Next thing you know there'll be a sunrise tomorrow morning. Mismanagement has been the standard for NL governance for my entire lifetime, I've never known anything else :(
Many non-Indigenous people will be acknowledging Orange Shirt Day for the first time this year.
So I wanted to share a few important points / thoughts:
@SteveDickerNL@GovNL As an indigenous person, I find it appalling that the holiday is only for a fraction of the province but the government still gives themselves full credit for 'observing' the holiday. False successes get electoral cred, but undermine the issues by shelving them without resolution
Spineless move by @GovNL to make September 30 a holiday for themselves but not for everyone. Competition is fierce and stores can't afford to close if their competitors stay open. Put it in the Shops Closing Act or the holiday isn't worth the paper it's written on. #nlpoli
September 30, 2021, is the very first National Day for Truth and Reconciliation. We're marking it by calling on Premier @FureyAndrew to adopt a coordinated approach to implement the Calls to Action and the Calls for Justice in #nlpoli.
Our statement: https://t.co/DFaol5qUce.
While the majority of us are at work today, I hope that our government at least uses their holiday to reflect on its meaning. Would be a shame if it was treated like just another photo op for voter cred.. #nlpoli
@briancallahan67 @VOCMNEWS It doesn't count as 'recognizing' the holiday if the majority of the province (and the majority of indigenous folks) are still forced to go to work. Yet again the government pats themselves on the back for not doing good enough.
@975krock That Dalton's jingle, do folks have to live on the Avalon? Me and mine are on the west coast, and we've got our work cut out for us this summer!
@975krock have you guys been hearing anything about the quality of fruit lately? It seems like every other time I bite into one these days it's gone bad.
@975krock Fascinating topic this morning! I figure you're both wrong, lol. As a left brain science type I was sceptical. False until proven real. Now, as a left brain science type, I'm skeptical. Possible until proven false. A wrong guess doesn't mean there is no answer!
