The depart of a good person is truly so heart-wrenching and divine at the same time.
That bundle of love which came to this world only to care for others, the world feels the absence of them. It doesn’t matter if it has been a short time or a long time. Their presence in this world is not forgotten by Bhagavan. Everyone else, even the atma itself may forget that lifetime. But Bhagavan doesn’t forget. He always remembers. Every act of kindness. Every act of love. Every act of positivity and joy that one has spread in the world. Bhagavan remembers it all and keeps each memory in His heart. This is why every moment is important here and time so short. To move Bhagavan’s heart. To make Sri Hari your own. To make Him constantly remember your life here. How few days one has to accomplish so much. The opportunities are constantly given. Don’t forget to enjoy your time here. Life is a great joy. As two very dear atmas have moved entirely to the eternal realm, to Bhagavan’s sacred lotus feet. Madhavadas former swami on Sri Gayatri Jayanti, who was his own ishtadev. And Swamini Harisundari on Devi Dhumavati Jayanti, conquering the most difficult disease by keeping an open heart and surrendered mind. The sweet energy of love is amplified when good people spread their light to all. Don’t be afraid to shine the light within yourself. Open your heart. Let yourself feel the deep emotions you have. Gently work on the parts of your mind or life that scare you. And offer it all to God. Let Him pour His help on you. Don’t hold anything back. Don’t push things to a corner to look at later. Do it now. Work on your life now. Open yourself to Bhagavan’s great love now. Keep remembering Bhagavan all the time.
The passing of a devotee is an exceptional outpouring of grace.
The Bhakti Marga family has lost a dear member today. Madhavadas former swami left his body a few hours ago and has gone to the eternal abode of the lotus feet of Sriman Narayana which is the real Vaikuntha. His service was amazing. For 27 years, in any situation, he stood by me. He was the founding members of Shree Peetha Nilaya ashram and he helped in building it from scratch. He also led two more ashrams to be built, Sri Vithala Dham in Germany and Adhokshadham in Austria. When a devotee leaves their body, the universe takes a deep breath of silence. A beloved atma is on its way back to Paramatma. And there will never be a life like that again in this world. That particular personality, those set of circumstances, that way of loving Bhagavan will never come back. This is why every life is so precious to the SatGuru. He knows how short time is here. One comes for just a few days. Take inspiration from your spiritual family, take inspiration from the devotees. They spend their lives serving something greater than themselves and are freed forever from the bonds of this world. The true devotees never need to come back to this world because all their karma is taken care of by the SatGuru. He puts His complete force and love behind the cleaning of the jeevatma, returning them to Bhagavan in their pure state. But only a few understand and let their lives become an outpouring of Bhagavan’s mercy. They become an instrument in His hands. Till the last moment, Madhavadas served me and has claimed his eternal place at the lotus feet of Sri Hari. To say goodbye to a devotee is tough also for the SatGuru, but when one does everything possible to love and serve Bhagavan in all, the SatGuru finds solace in that. Sadgati Prapti Rastu, Om Shanti. Blessings to the departed soul on their way to Bhagavan, may everyone find true peace.
The Mother is the divine herself through her selfless service to the family.
Her focus and care for everyone. Leaving her birth home and becoming a beacon of joy and love in a new family. Opening her heart so much that she can accommodate all as her own. This is the heart of the divine mother. Each mother is a unique part of the eternal divine mother. Loving, caring, fiercely protective, joyful, innocent, endless facets of Her beauty. Countless forms of the divine mother are present on this planet itself. Beyond the personality of this world, everyone is a spark of the divine. But how many times do we truly see them like that? We’re often stuck in the external and limited; however, this day and all other celebrations of the divine should remind you of that eternal loving reality behind everything. The deep love of a mother gives such a close glimpse of God’s own love. So much so that when Bhagavan, the SatGuru, incarnates in this world, his first connection is also with the mother. That endless divinity also longs for Her unconditional love and care, the innocent and fully offered self. And when the SatGuru’s divine self is revealed to the world, the verse written by Guru Arjan Dev Ji fits the SatGuru so perfectly. “gurdayv maataa gurdayv pitaa gurdayv suaamee parmaysuraa”. (Meaning- The Divine Guru is my mother, the Divine Guru is my father, the Divine Guru is my Lord and Supreme God.) May the divine mother shower her blessings on all. May all families, mothers, fathers, and children, be inspired to be with each other with love, care, joy, and peace. Happy Mother’s Day to everyone.
To go beyond one’s emotions, to master them, and bring the mind and thoughts to complete love.
It is not at all easy to silence the mind, to keep emotions aside, and still give love, joy, peace, and kindness to the world. Yet this was the way of the saints. Very often the test of their true progress on the spiritual path came when they were personally hitting rock bottom and yet the world did not see it. When they had a choice to either lash out at the world in pain or to still be present with love, kindness, and understanding. Such a difficult choice when the internal resources feel completely emptied out. But tests come when you are ready for them. When everything is smooth, the time for the test is not right. Because your behavior in that moment does not dive into the depths of who you truly are inside. Who you truly are is determined when you are hitting rock bottom and yet are presented with the choice to ignore others, lash out at them, drag them down with you; or, to lift them up while still drawing from your own depleted strength. This is when Bhagavan steps in to help you. Then He provides His strength to lift you to heights you couldn’t have even dreamed of earlier. He is watching with love when you transform your own tough internal and external moments but don’t let them spew onto others. This is what many spiritual teachers meant when they said to turn the other cheek when someone lashes out at you. It is not to continuously take their bad behavior; but to not react to them at their level with your own bad behavior. At the end of life, people don’t regret what others did to them; they regret their own bad behavior, no matter how justified you think that behavior is right now. Learn to become your own best friend first, then you can see your true eternal best friend, Bhagavan. When He steps in to take over that role, every pain and exhaustion will leave you instantly. Then you will truly know what it means to have a friend who only loves, accepts, and supports you. The one to whom you can surrender your every flaw and greatness, and He will only love and love you more. Then you will know unconditional love.
Shubh Sri Ramanujacharya Jayanti to everyone.
This day is so important for all bhaktas. It doesn’t matter which tradition you are from, all the Saints should be revered and loved. Take inspiration from their lives, while remaining firm and true to your path with the SatGuru. The saints who have realized God completely in their lives are a beautiful light in this world. Who have lived purely to help others. Sri Ramanuja is one such incredible Saint. He has given the sacred Om Namo Narayanaya 8-syllable mantra to the world. He showed all that dedication to one’s Guru is not bound by space, time, or any outside circumstance. He met his true Guru, Sri Yamunacharya, when the Guru’s other disciples were taking the master’s body to its MahaSamadhi place. But still the Guru moved his fingers to instruct Sri Ramanuja. The Guru and a true disciple are always bound together in love. Their bond, their connection is eternal. And this pair of Guru-Disciple showed the world the beauty of that relationship. But this day is not just to admire the Saints. You need to become a disciple who constantly makes space for the SatGuru’s love and healing light to be poured into your life. So much so that the SatGuru’s heart is moved by the constancy of your love and faith. His heart melts very easily. But it is not so easy to move his heart. Because you have to become someone who repeatedly works on themselves to become kinder, more loving, more entrenched in Sri Hari’s name. May this day inspire all to become a true bhakta and find one’s eternal place at Sri Hari’s lotus feet. Blessings.
Haumai, or ego, often leads us to believe we are correct, but Sikhi encourages us to pause and reflect. True strength emerges when we can release our ego and embrace truth, even if we stand alone.
Wanting to be right. This sentiment makes people run around in circles constantly. Whether about something big or an insignificant matter, the mind is constantly looking for ways to prove its narrative. This is because the mind is limited and often wrong. Hence, it needs the external validation of being correct in order to remain calm. But like this, one is just like a leaf in the wind. Floating anywhere and anyhow. No direction. No sense. This is not why one comes into the world. And to force existence to be limited to the needs and wanderings of the mind is severely shortchanging oneself. Why would you accept such a lackluster experience of life when such greater things are available. But that is only when one sets down the ego and transcends the control of the mind. To become the master of the mind is not easy but it is crucial to get there. It is only when flowing with the deeper truth of life that true peace and correctness emerge. A truth that doesn’t need proofs yet is easily felt by the world. Why is it so easy for the SatGuru’s presence to calm down the mind from its normal state and make it resonate to a divine rhythm? Because one automatically feels the difference in His presence. One doesn’t need external proofs, one’s own state is the proof, the knowing transcends the external proof. And that deep conviction flows out in waves impacting everyone into a deeper state of being. When you allow the SatGuru’s adesh to release the ego’s control over you, when you allow Him to let the mind calm down and for your true self to take the reins from within. That state is the emergence of divine qualities. Of love, trust, strength, courage, and all others. Then even if the world stands in opposition to oneself, one won’t fight with the world to be right. One will simply allow the Will, the Hukam of the Divine to takeover and lead all where they have to go. Through Simran, constant loving remembrance of the Divine, one reaches the ability to let go of the ego into the SatGuru’s gentle and kind hands.
Accepting Hukam is not always easy, as life may present unexpected turns. However, Sikhi reminds us that Waheguru's plan surpasses our own, and trusting in Hukam can bring peace even amidst challenges.
All spiritual traditions talk about the will, the command, the instruction, adesh, or hukam of the Divine, of the SatGuru.
And often seekers of God discuss this, but how much one understands about it remains to be seen. One’s plan is always just a tiny portion of God’s plan. One cannot see the entire picture. But there is a being who can see the complete plan. There is someone who takes form and incarnates into this world who is that eternal one himself. It is this one who leads all from darkness into the light, the Sat Gu-Ru, the true eternal teacher, the eternal master. And it is only from the satguru that one can take instruction at every turn. His every word is a command to the universe. His will is what the universe waits for to act. The silent breath between two thoughts, between feeling and action, that is where the SatGuru places his command. His Adesh is the movement of energy. Every person has been given the ability to exert their willpower and see actions manifest into reality. And for the satguru, that ability encompasses all beings, all times, and all things. But this power, this complete command over the universe is not something one receives or grows into. It is something that the satguru already is. He alone is that. So one must understand how extraordinary it is when the satguru gives an instruction for one’s life. He is bringing the silence of God’s will into loving manifestation for the bhakta. And then how sad it would be to not value his effort, to not give one’s all into making his command a reality. His plan is always better than the best thing one can dream of. Trust in that universal love, trust in his eternal presence with you. Whether you flow with His word which becomes the boat of your life and He becomes your captain. Or, you fight His word and keep dashing against rocks, getting hurt, and drowning. No matter how difficult, strange, or unpleasant His word may seem on the surface, know that it is the absolute best and strongest boat to get you to the end of the river which submerges one fully in God. Never judge his word. Never set it aside for something else. Understand why the saints kept the word spoken by the Guru higher than even the saakshat darshan of Bhagavan. This one deep understanding, to follow the instruction of the SatGuru, will give you everything.
Timeframe of consequences of actions.
In the times of the Ram Avatar, consequences followed actions very quickly. Kaikeyi faced the result of the terrible deeds she had committed within a few weeks itself. In Krishna Avatar, it took more time, years passed before consequences showed up. The kauravas spent many years tyrannizing the world before the righteous war of Kurukshetra ended their foolish ignorance. Yet, it was in the same life itself. But in today’s times, consequences arrive much later. Maybe even several lifetimes later. But the longer the timeframe to be repentant, the longer the soul has to wait to be fully freed. The longer the wait time, the more severe the consequences of bad actions because in the meanwhile one has created so many more karmic issues. It is scary to think about this when one is intentionally not letting go of lower qualities.
But the exact reverse is true for good actions through the yugas. With each succeeding yuga, the timeframe for fruits of good actions becomes shorter. So if you are good in today’s world, it is much easier to attain the Highest, because the return from Bhagavan for small good deeds is much larger and much faster with each succeeding yuga. Hence, the SatGuru repeats many times how easy it is to attain Bhagavan in times of outside difficulties because the good path is made much simpler, much faster, and filled with greater rewards. It is your choice how to behave and which side of the equation to fall on.
Meditate on the Mantra in your heart.
As the bhaktas are chanting the mantra today, Sri Vitthala Giridhari Parabrahmane Namaha, do so with full dedication and energy. If you can, chant together with the sangha and spread the Name to everyone around you who hasn’t heard it yet. This is how the love of Bhagavan flows and grows. All are uplifted in its power and purity. At the end of your Japa, place your hands on your heart and see the love that God has placed within you overflowing to the entire world. Make it your intention to contribute with positivity and universal love to this world. Om shanti shanti shantihi, shri gurubhyo namaha hari om.
When a new mantra appears in this world, it is the birth of a new era.
On the silent mountain tops of the Himalayas, in hidden forests, in small obscure caves, saints throughout the yugas have brought the Divine into the mortal world. Through revelations of yogic practices, through wisdom passed down, so many ways, but the appearance of a mantra is very special. Bhagavan’s Name is Him Himself, fully, nothing held back. The mortal world does not realize it but energetically everything has changed. Changed into radiance. Because He has appeared in another eternal form as an ancient mantra regiven to the world. The SatGuru catching those sacred frequencies, brings various forms of the Divine into the world to raise everyone back to Bhagavan. He refines the cosmic waves of Bhagavan’s most ancient love, and makes it shine anew in complete consciousness today.
When Sri Vitthala Giridhari Parabrahmane Namah was given by Bhagavan Vitthal, no one other than the SatGuru personally witnessed the emergence of the mantra. But through the love, faith, and dedication of the bhaktas, that Mantra is resonating across the world. It will raise the world into new heights of spirituality for a very long time. The life of the SatGuru is marked with many such events. Whether physically close or far from him, learn to flow in the rhythm of His heart. Chant the Mantra constantly. Then the SatGuru is more present beside you than whatever or whoever you are facing in that moment. This is how you anchor his energy in the world more and more. Keep spreading the name of Bhagavan to all. Blessings to everyone.
Sometimes the hardest thing in the world isn’t pain, it is keeping oneself open.
Open to the possibility of pain. Open to the possibility of anything taking place. Remaining open to God, to Guru. This complete openness is perceived by the mind as complete uncertainty, instability, and it is more excruciating than straight pain. Because you know how to deal with pain at least a little bit, there is something you can do about it to lessen the agony. But the possibility of pain is more scary. It is the great demon of the mind. This is what you have to win a complete victory over. The state of flux, of not knowing. Where any of the infinite possibilities can manifest or remain unmanifest. This is what the mind faces when it comes face to face with the SatGuru. It has to deal with complete uncertainty. But why do you go into fear? Into weakness? Into hiding and cowardice? Don’t you know from deep within that your atma is made of the same divine fabric as bhagavan, as the satguru? Don't you know that His only reality is love? Then why fear that love? Grow into it. Deepen into it. Become strong and rooted in it. Running away won’t do you any good. The only way out is through. Face the infinity of the SatGuru without fear but with complete humility, humour, love, and wisdom. It is very easy. Try it with joy and you will see.
