Five things:
1. Woke up.
2. Got out of bed.
3. Dragged a comb across my head.
4. Found my way downstairs and drank a cup.
5. Looking up, I noticed I was late.
I'm never on here, but here I am to say that if you haven't read Tehrangeles by @PKhakpour yet, get thee to your local indie bookseller. Always so much fun and so much laughter with my brilliant friend. Thanks also to @Booksmith for a wonderful event!
Last night’s @Booksmith event was
dreamy! Thank you, SF! So many of the greatest Iranians I know showed up (Hoda, Nina, Persis, Zara, Hasti!) plus icons @RebeccaSolnit & @lauraalbert !! My conversation partner @Shanthisekaran was perfect— one of my favorite humans of all time😻
As the year comes to an end, here are a list of books that came out in 2023 to gift to your loved ones (or yourself!). These are only a few of the amazing books from AAPI authors & illustrators, so be sure to check out your local indie for even more recs! 💫🫶
Our winter classes are open for enrollment! Take an in person class with @Shanthisekaran, @KeenanNorris2, @m_wesolowska, or @mawsheinwin. We have online offerings with @c_goodw, @angelapneuman, Tommy Mouton, and Mia Ayumi Malhotra.
Why not join the fun?

I'll be at the Writer's Grotto reading with the tremendous talents @Shanthisekaran, @JennyBitner, @rachelchalmers.
There'll be a post-reading happy hour! Hope to see you there, Bay Area folks!

Woke up on my birthday and watched the last ep of #NHIES4 and realized that this show was the best bday gift, the best everything gift. I wish I'd had it when I was 15, but so glad I have it now. Devi represents who I am and who I would have loved to be. TY
@mindykaling !
Was just naming a child character in a new thing I'm working on and it occurred to me: Kids are named Billy, but never Bill. You'll never meet a kid named Bill.
