Couple things here:

1) Laith has a SUPER dry wit. If you watch the whole show, you’ll see that.

2) He’s playing with the “anyone that doesn’t like pvp is a care bear” attitude because he thinks it’s funny. If you watch the whole show, that becomes more apparent, too.

3) The comment is SO out of place in the description, he thought that made the joke obvious, but we all know dry humor doesn’t always translate. To say we weren’t super successful with it that day would be an understatement. If you watch the whole show, this becomes SUPER obvious and we should have tried less to be funny here. We try, we learn. It was his first show.

Folks can be angry with Laith for trying to be funny and struggling, or others online for trying to manufacture *outraeg* by claiming an concept artist is “designing salvage gameplay” as if I haven’t spent the last decade of my life trying to show that’s not how any of this works. 😜

But let’s always remember that much like the community, CIG is no monolith either. It’s made up of hundreds of people with individual thoughts and perspectives and no one person, not even myself, always speaks for every one of them. We’re (semi)normal people, and sometimes we don’t get it right in the moment (especially when it’s our first show) and I’ll always encourage empathy when watching any clips promoting ANY agenda without context. 🙏
