This Frontier flight was overbooked and with no volunteers to be bumped off the plane the airline had to decide who they would remove from the flight. They ended up choosing a solo mom flying with her two sleeping children.

Moments before she was chosen, she was asking questions about why they were delayed and how much longer it would be until take-off. Her concern and question was valid, they’ve been sitting on the tarmac on the plane for over 3 hours already.

What is being implied is that she was chosen for voicing her displeasure with the airline for their delay. It was evidenced by her friend being removed after she was. I understand planes can be overbooked but don’t you think they could have chosen a better candidate than a mother and her two sleeping children?

Granted depending on the industry you’re working in, PTO may be limited due to deadlines, if the employee follows the rules for requesting PTO, and it’s approved, she’s not responsible for any emergencies that crop up after approval.
