This might be the first-ever recording of an octopus changing colors while it's dreaming. Professor David Scheel recorded the mollusk as it lay in a research tank, and if you turn the sound on you can hear him describe what the octopus could be dreaming about.
This made my day in so many ways. It was only tipped by the snot bubbles little miss sick was blowing while walking on her tiptoes for the first time. Magical.

Oh to be sick like a baby.
Little Miss One has a full-blown cold with boogers streaming down her face, but is still standing in the lounge with her sun hat and gumboots on, holding a whisk in the air as she dances to spotify with a cheeky smile.

Pre-baby I was always a good multi-tasker.
Post-baby I feel I’ve reached the heights of an acrobat riding a tiny bike on a tightrope, while balancing an egg on my head. I’m also hanging out washing, holding a squirmy baby and listening to a podcast at the same time.

Lessons learned from doing #NaNoWriMo18 with a baby:
1. Leave the story at a point where you can’t wait to get back to it.
2. When not writing, think about what’s going to happen next.
Rinse and repeat

50k in a month, written during my 9 month-old’s naps (when I wasn’t cleaning, cooking, working on businesses, or eating..!) and at night.
I wouldn’t do it every month, but pretty stoked with the win.

#showerthoughts : The hair bun.
When you’re in your teens it’s fashionable and hip.
When you’re in your twenties it’s elegant and styled.
When you’re a mum - it’s all about getting every last strand of hair out of the way so baby doesn’t make you prematurely bald.
