Following the representation from the Medical MSc/PhD faculties of Rajasthan & @NMMTA_Assn , RUHS has allowed Med.MSc/PhD teachers joined services before 01.08.23 for examinership in the coming University examinations.
@NMC_BHARAT you are requested to amend the CBME guidelines
NMMTA has never paused, never stopped.
We remain hopeful that the need to struggle for opportunity with dignity will soon be behind us. While some challenges persist, we trust they will be resolved in due course.
We are not here to take anyone’s job. We have been an integral part of medical education for decades-supportive, committed, and collaborative. It’s time to stop undermining our contributions.
Since its inception in 2013, the association has been actively working for its members. NMMTA will continue to grow, advocate for the rights and recognition of teachers with medical MSc./Ph.D. qualifications, and uphold the values of sincerity and excellence in medical education.

@myogiadityanath जी

@RemaNagarajan
Curious case of arbitrary policies:
1)NMC illogically removes competent Medical https://t.co/ar73G6jzOK teachers from the system
2)MoHFW fails to revert it.
3)To solve the escalated teachers deficiency, plans to bring back retired teachers who have already passed their prime.
Congratulations to our esteemed member, Dr. @sanu1078 , on the publication of his book titled "Hypoxia and Tumor Microenvironment". NMMTA extends its warmest greetings and wishes the book great success.
@OfficeofJPNadda@MoHFW_INDIA@MLJ_GoI
Their hatred for non-doctors is extreme! They cannot tolerate or accept a non-doctor on the same pedestal, with equal footing, the same position, and the same salary. How can they accept a non-doctor as their boss or head? Their superiority complex has completely taken over; they believe that only they are capable and worthy.
This hatred is nothing less than 'racism' or 'casteism', which is why we call it 'academic apartheid'. In many places, they refuse to address Ph.D. holders as ‘Doctor’ while calling out their names. Some avoid using ‘Sir’ or ‘Madam’ when addressing non-MBBS colleagues. Some even refuse to sit with them. They may pretend to be polite on the surface, but behind the scenes, they speak ill of us, conspire against us, and manipulate innocent MBBS students into joining their political movement against us.
We consider and treat them as colleagues with respect, but they treat us with contempt; see us as despicable low-life beings, like bugs, and despise our very existence. Why? Is it just competition for jobs and roles? Their pride in themselves has morphed into prejudice against us.
If this is not pure, unadulterated, raw hate, then what else is it?
This dirty politics of 'pride and prejudice' will never end, at least not as long as their parent body—the NMC—remains vulnerable to lobbying by non-clinical doctors and their associations.
Their so-called concern for the quality of education and healthcare is nothing but a sham—a diversionary tactic aimed at hitting us where it hurts the most.
India has the world's largest number of medical colleges, yet not a single one ranks in the global top 100. A parliamentary committee has already found that the quality of doctors being produced is alarmingly poor. Almost 80% of medical colleges fail to meet even the minimum requirements, yet they continue to operate without consequence.
They remain silent on faculty shortages, unethical faculty transfers before inspections, ghost faculty, ghost patients, lack of basic infrastructure, corruption in exams, and poor teaching standards—all of which are real threats to medical education. Instead, they focus on just one thing: us and our existence.
They want all the facilities and privileges for themselves, but the moment the same are extended to us, they cry foul and call it illegal. Somehow, they see themselves as a privileged class, entitled to everything while denying us the same rights. This isn’t just selfishness—isn’t this pure hypocrisy?
This is why the government's role becomes even more crucial—to step in, assess the ground reality objectively, and act impartially while ensuring the well-being of all stakeholders.

The National MSc Medical Teachers' Association (NMMTA) is deeply concerned about the National Medical Commission's (NMC) structure and policies. We believe that the NMC is showing bias towards doctors, marginalizing non-MBBS educators and overlooking their vital contributions to medical education.
We highlight several critical issues, including discriminatory policies, inconsistent decision-making, lack of transparency, and the failure to enforce minimum standards in medical colleges. We also point out the unscientific faculty criteria, which are leading to serious workforce shortages.
We call for a complete overhaul of the NMC to ensure fair representation, transparency in policymaking, and equal opportunities for all qualified medical educators. Every qualified teacher deserves a fair chance to contribute to the growth and quality of medical education in India.

📢 The National MSc Medical Teachers Association (NMMTA) strongly opposes the new Draft Teachers Eligibility Qualifications (TEQ) 2024 released by the National Medical Commission (NMC). The proposal to make PhD mandatory for non-MBBS tutors in medical colleges & the exclusion of MSc Medical Degree holders from subjects like Microbiology & Pharmacology is discriminatory and harmful to the quality of medical education.
For decades, medical MSc/PhD teachers have played a crucial role in medical colleges, especially in rural areas, and these changes will only exacerbate faculty shortages. The introduction of a vague "transition period" with no clarity on its duration or impact further undermines the workforce.
We urge @NMC_BHARAT to revert to the MCI's 1998 TEQ regulations, which were balanced and inclusive, and to increase, not decrease, the representation of medical MSc/PhD faculty, as seen in Western countries. The quality of medical education must not be compromised by arbitrary changes that leave qualified professionals behind.
