Who is Running the Ship?
🔹Problems always happen. If you have the right people running the ship, then whatever goes wrong, they'll fix it.
🔹In fact, if you have great people running the company, there's no problem they can't fix.
🔹But if you have the wrong people at the helm, then when problems happen, there's absolutely nothing you can do about it.
These are from the Business of the 21th Century by Robet Kiyosaki.
Who else agrees that Running the Ship is more critical than the Product?

“Sharazwr, I hope you have a bright future with the purpose of serving our people and nation. I hope you never consider betraying the Kurdish people.

What my father left behind are pieces of writing that constantly remind us of his deep love for our country. The attached photo shows his handwriting, meant to plant that same passion in us.
I strongly believe that love for one’s country should be instilled in both current and future generations from the very beginning.
In this article for @ChathamHouse, I examine how the war on Iran is hitting Iraqi society first: through fears over salaries, rising food prices, and electricity shortages ahead of summer, as households face the fallout with little trust in the state.

My latest for @The_NewArab asks whether the war on Iran is a turning point for Iraq’s political order, or just the latest shock to expose weak state authority, fragmented armed actors, and the limits of Iraq’s balancing act.

'Iraq has been increasingly dragged into the US and Israel’s war with Iran... Most Iraqis are facing this latest conflict with limited financial resources and minimal savings, and with low confidence in the state to protect them from the war’s impact,' writes @HayderSH.

The Iraqi government has proven itself 'unable to have sovereignty over its territory and is a government that is being attacked by both sides,' says @renadmansour via @TheNationalNews.

There is simply no excuse and no justification for the drone attack by terrorist militias against the home of Kurdistan's president Nechirvan Barzani. He is a statesman, widely respected for always advocating for dialogue, peace and reconciliation. I condemn the attack in strongest terms. The Iraqi government and Kurdistan's partners should pursue the terrorist group responsible. #KURDISTAN #IRAQ #USA @@SECSTATE@SECWAR
I condemn and denounce in the strongest terms the cowardly drone attack on the residence of @IKRPresident Nechirvan Barzani in Duhok. Once again, we call on the federal government to act on its responsibility, bring these outlaw criminals to justice, and curb the continued terrorist attacks carried out by these groups.
I also call on the international community and our friends to support the Kurdistan Region in protecting its citizens and safeguarding the interests of the Kurdistan Region.
We reserve every right to confront these terrorists, and we will take whatever steps are necessary to protect the Kurdistan Region.
Kurdish leader @masoud_barzani: ‘Over 450 drones and missiles have targeted the Kurdistan Region since the start of this conflict, including five attacks on the Barzani HQ and yesterday’s attack on @IKRPresident’s residence.’
He says that this can’t be solved by condemnation, calls or cables; Iraqi authorities must decide — either admit they cannot stop these outlaw groups, or defend the state and hold perpetrators accountable.
