@JoCat105 In my experience its only taboo if you go to competitive events, like Warhammer tournaments. But that being said, unless its hosted by GW most of them just need prior clearance of the mini and its good to go. All they care about is that its clearly discernable.

@DKDiamantes Have you looked into contrast paints? Saved me from a lot of those issues of paints going on too thick. Just need a good primer base coat and then you wont have to worry as much about losing details.

@Kirioth Worst part is it actually has good rules too, so you really want to buy two units worth of them minimum for any Slaves to Darkness force.
