Kanpur, Uttar Pradesh

- Mohammad Irfan, a Kanpur businessman, married a 25 year old Thai woman.
- They met on Instagram around 4 years ago.
- They got married 2 years ago according to Thai customs.
- She said that Irfan hid the fact that he was already married and had 3 children.
- He took around ₹60 lakh from her for business.
- He then returned to India in February and blocked her.
- When she asked for her money back, he pressured her to come to India, convert to Islam and wear a burqa.
- She came to Kanpur and discovered that Irfan was already married.
- She approached the police with marriage documents and other evidence.
- Police arrested Irfan and registered a case.

Many are saying it's International Love Jihad.

I don’t know Dr. Neha personally, but I genuinely respect the courage with which she has consistently raised her voice on issues affecting General Category students.

The 91% reservation issue in four UP government medical colleges is a perfect example.

She highlighted the matter, took it to the courts and continued fighting when most of us~including many from the medical fraternity~weren’t even aware that the reservation structure had reached such an extreme level.

The Allahabad High Court has now stayed the implementation of the nearly 91% reservation arrangement.

Regardless of what anyone’s views on reservation may be, standing up for what you believe is right and taking the legal route to challenge it deserves respect.

Thank you, Dr. Neha, for speaking up when many chose to remain silent.

And to those who attack, label or question her intentions~before passing judgment, perhaps look in the mirror and ask:

what have you personally done for the issues of general category you claim to care about?
