It's been reported by the Telegraph that Benjamin Netanyahu has ordered Israel to support Argentina on the Falklands over Britain.

Why should Britain be expected to defend Israel's national interests if Israel's leadership refuses to respect ours?

Britain is not obliged to give any foreign government unconditional political or military support.

Our foreign policy should be guided by British interests, and British interests only - that is the Restore Britain position.

The Falkland Islands are British, and will remain British.

Halo Minerals (AIM: HALO) has secured a key mining permit for its Playa Verde copper and gold tailings project in northern Chile, marking another important step towards a final investment decision and eventual production. The approval authorises dredging of historic mineral-bearing tailings deposited along Chañaral beach, including areas within the urban zone, following confirmation that regional housing and development authorities had no objections. Playa Verde aims to recover copper through the production of cathodes and concentrates while treating and returning processed material to the beach, combining commercial mineral recovery with potential environmental improvements. The project has already received a favourable environmental assessment, and the latest permit removes another regulatory hurdle. However, further approvals remain outstanding, including a mining easement expected in the coming weeks and a maritime concession application currently progressing. Management is now focused on completing the remaining permitting and development workstreams, with the next major catalysts being additional regulatory approvals and progress towards the final investment decision.@HaloMinerals

@BezantResources (AIM #BZT) has secured a £4 million financing facility from US institutional investor Yorkville Advisors as copper concentrate production begins at its Hope and Gorob project in Namibia, with the first shipment expected in November 2026.

The copper and gold exploration company confirmed that it has entered into an agreement with YA II PN Ltd, managed by Yorkville Advisors Global, for a £4 million unsecured, non-convertible loan, providing working capital as operations move towards regular concentrate sales.

Copper concentrate production is now underway at Hope and Gorob, marking an important milestone in Bezant’s transition towards generating revenue from its mining operations. @ColinBirdMining

Today, Brad Lander, rabbis, and other New Yorkers accompanied Palestinian farmers during the olive harvest. For that, they were detained by the Israeli government. 

Harvesting olives is not illegal. The occupation is.

Goldman Sachs raised its 2027 average LME copper forecast to $15,400 a metric ton from $13,800, and its year-end 2026 forecast to $14,700 from $13,735.

Reuters reports Goldman cited weaker-than-expected mine supply and anticipated deficits outside the United States, as competition between the US and China for refined copper intensifies.

Goldman last raised both forecasts on June 1, from $12,150 for the 2027 average and $12,465 for year-end 2026.
