Yesterday I was watching @cobbo3 and @rkabushenga on their podcast while they spoke about investor confidence and how Uganda can’t attract investors because of our Politics.
Now Rwanda has pulled in a huge investor Formula 1, Kenya has attracted Dangote. Who are we attracting?
SAD! We just marked the World Mental Health Day last week…! My heartfelt condolences to Joan’s family, friends and the legal fraternity!🙏🏾
Let’s make room for honest conversations, listen without judgement and encourage professional support when someone is struggling.
No one should face distress alone!

I’m no economics expert, and it certainly wasn’t a subject I excelled at during my HSC days, but I find this argument by my brother rather questionable. He argues that the government, through the BOU, can simply declare that the dollar is worth UGX 3,700 instead of UGX 4,000 to stabilise the shilling.
Economists, is this argument economically sound? Can a central bank simply dictate an exchange rate, or must the economic fundamentals support it?
@SamsonMKasumba You have ever been away from work for one reason or the other, have you ever seen anyone complain? Musomesa Oscar is an outlier in this thing.
From Grass to Grace: Isifu Mwase’s Journey from MUST to the Royal Air Force
Raised by a single mother, Mwase overcame financial hardship to pursue a BSc in Computer Engineering at @MbararaUST, supported by bursaries, mentors, friends and an African Development Bank scholarship. He later earned an MSc in Computer Networking and Cyber Security from London Metropolitan University and built a career in cybersecurity and digital forensics.
Today, he serves as a Cyberspace Communications Specialist in the UK Royal Air Force and works as a match-day steward at Arsenal Football Club, experiencing Premier League football from inside the stadium.
His message to students: “Never allow your current circumstances to determine the limits of your future.”
At some point in your 20s or 30s, you will get the chance to rebuild your life after being stuck in a negative cycle. It is important that you see that journey through.
Dear @KKariisa please don’t kill the #CapitalGang. We have loved and vividly followed it for decades.
I listened in today and I felt robbed. Today’s host …. nah! Don’t kill that brand!

It’s the worst struggle first of all but I managed to keep a person to help out at home for 5 years and that’s a stretch by Ugandan standards by doing the following
1. Treat them like family (Subtly give benefits like clothing, birthday celebrations, movie tickets, medical and gifts on Xmas e.t.c over and above their earnings )
2. Let them provide input because they collect the most data in your absence and take it into consideration.
3. Plan for the time they outgrow you as a phase in their lives just like teenagers outgrow us.
4. Ensure they follow family rules like every one and don’t cut corners with no one.
5. Important: pay them on time and give them financial literacy lessons that are likely to help them outgrow you but that’s ok because of point 3.
