I’ll be going live from London tonight with @sneako to share with him the plight of the Syrian people to free themselves from the oppressive Assad regime and how Syria will be a beacon of hope for the ummah and Palestine!
This Qadiani grifter really posted “JOLANI ❤️ IDF BRIAN MAST” and thought he had delivered geopolitical analysis. This is what happens when an oversized keyboard chimp mistakes an internet connection for an education.
Brian Mast was not some irrelevant politician al-Sharaa met for entertainment. He was Chairman of the House Foreign Affairs Committee and one of the key congressional holdouts blocking the unconditional repeal of the Caesar Act. His position mattered so much that reporting at the time described his approval as crucial to getting the repeal into the final legislation. Al-Sharaa therefore sat across the table from the very man whose political position could materially affect Syria’s economic future. That is called statecraft, something considerably more complicated than posting heart emojis from Britain.
And what happened afterwards? Mast moved from opposition to signing off on the repeal, and Congress ultimately included the repeal of the Caesar Syria Civilian Protection Act in Section 8369 of the FY2026 NDAA.
Meanwhile, this revolutionary for Wi-Fi sits safely in the UK, benefiting from electricity, banking, telecommunications, functioning institutions and an economy connected to the world, while apparently demanding that Syrians prove their revolutionary purity by remaining economically isolated. Syrians need functioning banks, investment, trade, electricity, schools, universities, hospitals, jobs, reconstruction and functioning state institutions. A government emerging from fourteen years of catastrophic war does not obtain those things by refusing to speak to powerful foreign legislators because an algorithm chasing propagandist might become upset.
And Syrians are actually returning to that country. UNHCR reported that by the end of May 2026 approximately 1.67 million refugees had returned to Syria since December 2024, alongside approximately 1.9 million internally displaced Syrians returning to their areas of origin. UNHCR simultaneously warns that poverty, damaged services and structural vulnerabilities remain severe which makes reconstruction and economic recovery more important, not less.
Criticise al-Sharaa where criticism is deserved. Scrutinise every agreement. But screaming “IDF ❤️ JOLANI” because the Syrian president met the congressional chairman whose position mattered to removing sanctions strangling Syria is not resistance, intelligence or geopolitical analysis.
This is not political illiteracy anymore. This is geopolitical brain death with a broadband connection, where ignorance has been given Wi-Fi, a social media account and the confidence to lecture an entire nation on statecraft.
@Goatedko Just because Ahmed al shara played basketball doesn’t make him an agent. In geopolitics the USA needs Syria as a friendly nation. And what is wrong with joining the international banking system where every country operates under?
@Goatedko How can he say the biggest tragedy of the ummah when 600k Syrians were killed is inflated like the protestors in Iran? Astagifrullah
This guy needs to stop talking and do research.
