विश्व के सबसे बड़े स्वयंसेवी संगठन, राष्ट्रीय स्वयंसेवक संघ (RSS) के शताब्दी वर्ष के अवसर पर मेरे अनुभव और विचार
आजादी से पूर्व देश की आत्मा और मूल संस्कृति का अंग्रेजों सहित विभिन्न विचारधाराओं द्वारा हो रहा शोषण, और यदि संस्कृति नष्ट हुई तो इसके भयावह परिणामों की चिंता से राष्ट्रीय स्वयंसेवक संघ का जन्म हुआ। हमारी संस्कृति और राष्ट्र के पुनर्निर्माण के उद्देश्य के साथ डॉ. केशवराम बलिराम हेडगेवार जी ने 1925 में संघ की स्थापना की। यह यात्रा आज 100 वर्ष पूर्ण कर चुकी है।

संघ का पहला कदम था ‘चरित्र निर्माण द्वारा व्यक्ति निर्माण’। शाखाओं के माध्यम से देशभक्त और समर्पित युवाओं के निर्माण का कार्य शुरू हुआ। इन 100 वर्षों की यात्रा के दौरान संघ परिवार ने समाज के प्रत्येक क्षेत्र, शिक्षा, स्वास्थ्य, अर्थव्यवस्था, राजनीति और सामाजिक व्यवस्था में महत्वपूर्ण योगदान दिया है। संघ की शाखाओं में चरित्र निर्माण करने वाली विभूतियों ने राष्ट्र निर्माण में महत्वपूर्ण योगदान दिया है, जिनमें हमारे वर्तमान प्रधानमंत्री श्री नरेंद्रभाई मोदी जी भी एक उदाहरण हैं। आज संघ के असंख्य प्रकल्पों के माध्यम से लाखों स्वयंसेवक अपने जीवन को राष्ट्र और समाज की सेवा में समर्पित कर रहे हैं।

कुछ समय पहले मुझे संघ के सरसंघचालक परम आदरणीय श्री मोहन भागवत जी से मिलने का सौभाग्य प्राप्त हुआ। उनके साथ चर्चा के दौरान उनके शब्दों में हमारी संस्कृति की गहराई, समकालीन समस्याओं का समाधान और संघर्ष तथा समर्पण की भावना प्रतिबिंबित होती थी। इस अनुभव ने मेरे मन में संघ के प्रति सम्मान और श्रद्धा को और बढ़ा दिया।

100 वर्षों की इस अविरत यात्रा को पूर्ण करने के लिए मैं संघ के करोड़ों स्वयंसेवकों को हृदयपूर्वक बधाई और शुभकामनाएं देता हूँ। उनके देश के प्रति समर्पण और योगदान के लिए मैं हृदय से आभार व्यक्त करता हूँ।@RSSorg
