@bhaumikgowande Worth trying. Massive bus procurement mandates can help buy support from automobile industry lobbies. It's difficult otherwise imho. Look at recent rollback of free seats on airlines... Difficult to take any people friendly measures without consulting wider affected bodies.
CSMIA ranks lowest in major Indian airports inlatest airport rankings. I think I know one major reason. It's a breeze to get out of Delhi Airport even when using public transport. It's the opposite at CSMIA even when using taxis.
How much fuel is #India burning every day just because of poor traffic management?
Bad signals, bottlenecks, illegal parking, bad diversions and weak enforcement are causing massive national loss.
Traffic management is not just a civic issue.
It is an economic reform.
Why have we given up on promoting energy efficiency?
Great campaigns can be run today on saving gas by thawing refrigerated foods or using better cookware. Even a dedicated #MannkiBaat can help convince people.
We had such popular campaigns like #BijleeHumBachayege in the past!
Abv this line if the Japanese central bank is not able to control USDJPY , it will have no option but to start dumping US treasury. We are near a historical event.
AI Companies want to be like Banks. The goal is to reach too big to fail status by circulating money and contracts. Government wont let them fail then!
No doubt Data centers are power hungry. And there GWs/TWs of them upcoming. So a focus on data center energy efficiency is a really good opportunity. It will have spillover effects on other energy intensive sectors too. A win win for everyone!
Wow
the successful test flight of the S1500, an airborne wind turbine capable of generating one megawatt of power by harnessing high-altitude winds, which are stronger and more consistent than those at ground level
- Different lines don't connect smoothly.
- No proper signages encouraging
use Metro (Just visit Chennai airport and take metro to city to see a shining ideal)
- No arrangement for First/Last line connectivity.
1 crore journeys
= 50-70 buses at most. Buses costs almost 1% of metro.
Problems I see with current metro in Mumbai, stopping it to boost ridership
- People have to walk miles on road in unsafe manner from airports/business districts/shopping areas to take metro.

Taking action on corrupt officers exposes extreme corruption, making bad publicity of state governments and parties in power. So noone can act on it without losing 'all is good' image. Race to the bottom. Only emboldens the corrupt.
Odisha Vigilance raided the house of Asst Engr Rajkishore Jena (left). While going through his documents, they discovered a flat jointly owned by two women, Jena’s wife and the wife of another Asst Engr, Ashok Panda (right).
Realising something fishy, the vigilance immediately dispatched another squad to Panda’s house. They suspected Panda might already know about the raid on Jena and could be trying to hide his own assets before they were exposed.
When the team reached Panda’s house, it was locked. All mobile phones were switched off. They waited for hours, assuming Panda might be out and would eventually return. Just as they were about to seal the house and leave, they heard faint whispers coming from inside. Acting quickly, they forced their way in, only to find Panda and his family hiding, with a bag full of cash, jewellery and property papers dangling outside the window.
What followed was even more startling. Further investigation uncovered 12 posh flats, 10 high-value plots, multiple shopping spaces in malls, three shops, two buildings, as well as a hefty stash of jewellery and cash in Panda’s name.
Yeh kahani hamein yeh sikhsha deti hai ki dosti chahe jitni bhi gehri ho, apne mitr ya uski wife ke saath kabhi bhi joint property mat lena. Nahi to vigilance depart aapko dhoond hi lega, aur desh seva ka aapka sapna, jiske liye aapne sarkari naukri mushkil se haasil ki thi, sapna hi reh jayega!
Key question: how come the Stock Exchanges never sanctioned Jane Street? They are the very first to get such alerts. Will tell you why: simple conflict of interest.
I have long held that Exchanges should NEVER get listed. They are a regulator. Profit motive creates endless conflict of interest. How can they sanction JS when it drives FO volume massively, hence SE profits.
SEs should be a utility, not for-profits.
Simple as that.
Nahi to, suffer all this hanky panky
I think there can be many quality of life related benefits that can lure brightest minds, if marketed right. Maybe like Hiranandani developed society in Mumbai with reservation in best schools, top-line chauffer driven Cars and military stores like discounted stores.
🚨 Once we had gone to IIT to recruit engineers, but the moment the salary structure was shown, 60% of candidates walked out. IITians are not willing to join ISRO. I would be happy to see more IITians join ISRO - Former Chairman S Somnath.
Solar in China is growing faster than nuclear (fission) ever has globally.
+250 TWh in 2024
The peak of global nuclear growth was +234 TWh in 1985.
The peak of U.S. nuclear growth was +72 TWh in 1987.
The peak of Chinese nuclear growth was +54 TWh in 2019.
Yes, we should have built way more nuclear in the 80's, and we still should, but any plan for energy abundance today that doesn't include solar is just not serious.
We could build nuclear plants as fast as the combined efforts of the U.S., Europe, and the Soviet Union at the peak and we would still fall short of last year's Chinese solar growth.
China's not building solar faster than the entire world combined ever built nuclear because somebody threw soup on a painting. They're doing it because it's cheap, scalable, domestically produced, durable, distributed energy.
We are currently being left behind. We need to massively scale solar NOW or we may never be able to catch up.
