@BowersWrites My grandfather and his 2 brothers were there. All returned home but two of them died young and one of them spent the rest of his life in and out of a mental hospital suffering no doubt from what we now know as PTSD. I visited in 2016 for the anniversary.
@Garnet_2203@PfParks My son had a double transplant. Airlifted from Ottawa to London. Two surgical teams (kidney and pancreas) for six hours of surgery in the middle of the night. One week in hospital. Cost to us: $0.
@RichardCityNews Cruel and despicable. Thousands of people on ODSP can’t afford a couch or even a home, let alone a time-machine to go back and watch The Flintstones!
@Crofter1798@Mitch6669 Sadly ODSP does not provide enough income to cover necessities. Not even close. Particularly when you consider that most people on disability have additional expenses over and above those faced by others.
@Mitch6669@ContestJean And that’s great but it should be noted that the vast number of people legitimately on disability are unable to work no matter how much they would like to and are left to exist at below the deep poverty rate.
@DrAnnLopez Anyone on Ontario Disability is living below the poverty line and dependent on food banks. Also those who can’t qualify for disability because their partner has a low wage job and is expected to support them both.
