A group of men thought they could ditch their old couch in the woods in Mission BC and get away with it. A local man tracked them down, made them pick it up and personally escorted them to the Mission dump 👀 Don’t mess with BC’s wilderness 🌲😤
NEW: Artemis II Commander Reid Wiseman reflects on being MOVED to tears by the Christian cross after returning to Earth from the historic expedition:
"When I got back on the on the ship — I'm not really a religious person — but there was just no other avenue for me to explain anything or to experience anything."
"So I asked for the chaplain on the Navy ship to just come visit us for a minute, and when that man walked in, I'd never met him before in my life. But I saw the cross on his collar, and I just broke down in tears."
"It's very hard to fully grasp what we just went through."

In 1965, CBS executives were terrified of A Charlie Brown Christmas special. They told creator Charles Schulz that having Linus read from the Gospel of Luke was "too religious" for television and would offend the audience.
Schulz, a devout Christian, refused to back down. He told them: "If we don't tell the true meaning of Christmas, who will?"
It aired, unedited. It became the second most-watched show of the year and won an Emmy.
Even in the 60s, the world wanted to erase Christ from Christmas. One man's integrity kept Him on the screen for 50+ years.
“And the angel said to them, ‘Fear not, for behold, I bring you good news of great joy that will be for all the people. For unto you is born this day in the city of David a Savior, who is Christ the Lord.’”

Fraser Highway between 140th Street and 96th Avenue re-opened over the weekend! 🎉
This closure allowed crews to safely advance construction and minimize future traffic pattern changes in the area.
Many thanks for your patience while this work was completed.

This is a rough estimate of what we may see from tomorrow and during the Atmospheric River Storm Sunday into Tuesday. Thank you @KGordonGlobalBC for the visual aid. Amounts would be for the cities themselves. Even Higher amounts would fall in the mountains.
I can easily see Hwy 1 not re-opening in Abbotsford well into next week. Other likely closures would be Hwy 1 east of Chilliwack, Hwy 3, Hwy 5, Hwy 7 east of Mission, and Hwy 99 north of Pemberton. All of these highways have a significant risk of landslides right now. This new AR looks to bring a moderate wind threat with it as well. Get extreme rainfall onto super saturated soils, almost zero snow below 1,200m elevation, add in SW Winds to the mix. Uh oh! Especially when Hwy 3 is currently compromised in 23 seperate sections along the short 67km distance between Hope and Manning Park... Hang in there everyone! It appears that hope may be coming weather wise after this one is over!
