@OldGrumpyswife My dentist told me the father paid to have the teeth removed before marriage so that the husband didn’t incur high costs of dental treatment - it was a thing back in the day - brutal!!
Wow! Didn’t expect anywhere near the response to this, so I’ll give away a shed model like this one, to one lucky person who replies ‘I love sheds’ and reposts
@LaVieenProse24 Not at all selfish to put yourself first. I had similar friends when living in France, they were becoming less and less able to do the basics. I felt it was the responsibility of their family, regardless of where they live, not a friend who was helping out.
@hunstantonsmith@heidisaint Loads of houses like this in rural France, you can get a decent house for £150k, plus too much land - and you have to heat the buggers using wood, pellets or oil - no mains gas in rural France, and in lots of cases septic tanks as no mains drainage
@Rainmaker1973 This is not so, I worked for Rowntrees and saw them being made in their factory in York, they are made from wafers, that are matured to provide the right level of crispiness- so this is a load of twaddle
