I need the girls to get DISGUSTED by a man never buying flowers, planning dates, building a bond, investing in & pouring love + effort into a good hearted woman that deserves it. GET DISGUSTED.
I evaluate my behavior every night. Like, I will literally be in the shower thinking, "I didn't like how I responded to that today, but tomorrow I will be better". Gives me room to work on any bad behavior I have.
i never want a man to settle for me. go find your dream woman. and if you can’t find her, don’t use me to fill the gap. i need mine clingy, passionate, reassuring, unapproachable, GOD fearing, and locked in on me only.
Is it just me, or does anyone else understand why some people choose to stay single while they’re trying to build their lives?
The older I get, the more I realize how much emotional responsibility comes with being in a relationship. It’s not just about loving someone. It’s about showing up consistently, communicating, reassuring, making sacrifices, and still having the emotional capacity to carry another person’s feelings alongside your own.
Right now, I’m trying to build a career, create stability, heal, become a better version of myself, and figure out what I want my life to look like. Some days, that alone feels overwhelming.
So when I think about adding a relationship into the mix, I understand why some people step away. Not because they don’t believe in love, but because they don’t want to love someone from a place of survival.
I know people say, “Build together,” and I love that idea. But I also think there’s something beautiful about becoming stable enough that when you meet someone, you’re adding to each other’s lives instead of depending on each other to survive them.
Maybe I’m wrong. Maybe trying to do both is possible. But at this stage of my life, I don’t just want to fall in love. I want to become someone who has the emotional, mental, and financial capacity to sustain the kind of love I say I want.
Because sometimes the most loving thing you can do is admit you’re still trying to become the person you’re asking someone else to love.
