I'm still raising money for Komen, still looking for names of those who didn't survive so I can honor them at the Say My Name ceremony, and still encouraging all of you to join me at Hope Village at the More Than Pink Walk, both events on October 8th.
Sharon
Two more names for the Say My Name Ceremony October 8th: Janice Hart and Ruth Marie Sweet. If you'd like to add the name of a loved one to be remembered at the ceremony please send me their full name and a photo if possible. Here's a lovely photo of Ruth Marie Sweet.
Most of the people who didn't survive breast cancer are not well known. That's why I started the Say My Name Ceremony, I didn't want them to be forgotten. Maybe Olivia Newton John shouldn't be on a list of the 'not well known,' but she suffered too and needs to be remembered.
It's past time, my friends. Past time to say no more to breast cancer. No more suffering, no more dying, no more motherless children. Find some way to help. Give a few dollars, call someone going through chemo, volunteer, join me at the More Than Pink Walk - LA LIVE. October 8th
I received more names of people who didn't survive breast cancer to add to the Say My Name ceremony on October 8th: Pamela Muzyka, Erin Green, Stephanie Oval and Tori Geib.
