MISLEADING AGAIN. Qatar-sponsored Al Jazeera has published a report on the Indus Waters Treaty using what India’s MEA has flagged as a wrong map of India.

Even more telling: the article was written by Abid Hussain, Al Jazeera’s Pakistan correspondent, while presenting a Hague arbitration finding that India has categorically rejected.

India’s position is crystal clear: the so-called Court of Arbitration is illegally constituted, India does not recognise its jurisdiction, and its pronouncements have no effect on India’s sovereign decisions.

How many times will Al Jazeera get to publish misleading maps and one-sided narratives about India before accountability follows?

Al Jazeera needs to answer for its editorial standards. And MEA should take serious note.

Pakistan is rattled.

And nothing exposes that better than this desperate attempt to rewrite Operation Sindoor after the fact.

When a country loses the narrative, it starts manufacturing one.

Pakistan can repeat “Marka-e-Haq” a thousand times. It does not turn propaganda into history. Calling a military setback a “victory” does not make it one. Nor does throwing around inflated claims of aircraft destroyed, targets hit and “decisive responses” substitute for independently verifiable evidence.

Operation Sindoor was not a Bollywood film.

It was India demonstrating that the old rules had changed.

For decades, Pakistan relied on the assumption that nuclear weapons, terrorism and escalation threats would impose limits on India’s response.

Operation Sindoor shattered that assumption.

India demonstrated that terrorism originating from Pakistani soil would carry a direct military cost.

And that is precisely what Pakistan cannot digest.

The Pakistani narrative desperately wants everyone to believe that India somehow “lost” because hostilities eventually stopped.

That logic is absurd.

Wars are not school examinations where the side shouting “we won” first gets the highest marks.

The real question is: who achieved the strategic objective?

India changed the escalation equation.

India struck terrorist infrastructure.

India demonstrated precision, reach and escalation control.

India showed that Pakistan could neither dictate the battlefield nor dictate the political terms of India’s response.

And then Pakistan discovered the oldest diplomatic escape route available to a country under pressure:

Call the cessation a victory.

Now comes the funniest part.

Pakistan is simultaneously claiming that it defeated India and demanding that everyone believe India’s own account is “propaganda.”

If India was truly defeated, why is Islamabad still so desperate to convince everyone of it?

Because Pakistan understands the uncomfortable reality:

Operation Sindoor exposed the mythology of Pakistani military invincibility.

No amount of cinematic Pakistani propaganda can resurrect it.

India does not need Pakistan’s permission to define its military record.

The Indian Armed Forces have their own institutional history, their own operational assessments and their own evidence.

Pakistan can keep celebrating on television.

India will keep preparing for the next challenge.

And if Pakistan ever mistakes restraint for weakness again, it should remember one thing:

**India’s patience is strategic.

India’s response is not.**

DG ISPR’s statement is less a rebuttal than a familiar exercise in narrative management.

On 16 Apr 2025, Asim Munir publicly revived the Two-Nation Theory and declared Kashmir Pakistan’s “jugular vein”. Six days later came Pahalgam.

Then came Op SINDOOR: nine terror targets destroyed, followed by Pakistani military targets when Pakistan escalated.

The subsequent 27th Amendment concentrated unprecedented military power in Munir’s hands—Army, Navy, Air Force, strategic command and lifelong protections.

The dots are not difficult to connect.

ISPR can rewrite the narrative. It cannot rewrite the timeline.

Op SINDOOR is not over. The choice remains with Pakistan: peace—or another precise Indian response.
