I got an early look at Penn Charter during their open gym today. It's clear the Quakers are sporting a new team after graduating three high-major players. Still, Brandon Williams likely has reason to stay confident, as he’ll probably lean on his two primary playmakers—super sophomore Carter Smith and senior guard Kasey Fleming. Fleming was highly impressive with his scoring ability, while Smith stands out as an incredible athlete with a lot of untapped potential. Several young players showed promise, but the most intriguing might be 2029 Hanif Nixon Hughes and 2030 Jackson Boyd. Boyd is definitely a key piece for both the present and future of the program, showcasing strong offense and some notable defensive stops against some of his better teammates. It will be interesting to see how the newly assembled Quakers fare in the upcoming season.
