Cancel culture says you make one misstep and you have nothing more to offer.
Kingdom culture says there’s repentance, grace, and restoration despite all your greatest failures.
Without leadership based on God’s law, many will clamor for gods that are fashioned to fit our lifestyles. We’ve replaced the golden rule for a golden calf. We look to worship the created rather than the Creator.
With no moral constraint or concern for others, chaos ensues.
What’s contributed to such an erosion of personal and corporate responsibility? Simply, when you remove God from the public square, ethical conduct diminishes. Biblical principles are thrown out the window, and God’s laws are ignored and even ridiculed.
Self-sacrifice is soon replaced by self-gain.
Much like Moses’ experience at Mt. Sinai in Exodus 32, people begin to look elsewhere for their significance and security when God’s presence leaves the camp.
@BeholdIsrael Being prepared for an attack. The enemy will take advantage of chaos to launch surprise attacks. Be Wise in the Lord. Be Vigilant and pray. Don't let your guard down.
Jesus understood the power of real connection with real people with real emotions. Jesus showed up for people. He traveled with people. He stayed with people. He brought Heaven directly to people.
We cannot fully engage with people at a distance.
Experiencing the digital information transfer across a screen should NEVER take the place of personal conversations. With social media, we can connect.with people, without the messy distraction of dealing with people. It's easy to interact with someone's emotions at a distance.
If used properly, our social media can be a HUGE asset in our witness, our story, and our lives. We need a sanctified purpose for social media use. We are called to glorify God in everything then surely there is a way to glorify Him in every scroll and like.
David fully surrendered to God with this prayer in Psalm 139 - "search me, o God". If you're not ready for change - don't pray it. It has the potential to convict and correct you.
So, why ask God to search our heart? Because, we’ll never understand the depths of our sinfulness.
Long, loud prayers do not move God the way simple, heartfelt ones do. But do not mistake simple for safe.
We are not called to pray safely. Too many of us get into a prayer comfort zone with God.
A lukewarm prayer life does not bring us closer to God.
