@RolloTo84472336 @PIAASports Honestly I don’t know what the right answer is. No one does. But sports are a choice and we choose them for our children. Every family carries their own level of risk and I’m sorry that some families are more compromised than others.
@RolloTo84472336 @PIAASports In fact I do have kids who play sports and have been playing sports all summer without incident. I also have taken direct care of sick covid positive patients during our surge in pa and do not take this virus lightly. This young population are not the patients we are seeing.
@PIAASports I don’t think there will ever be a right answer. I respect everyone’s level of fear but as a frontline nurse anesthetist outside of Philly, I have seen what this virus can do. I also however see many more people who test positive and don’t get sick.
@PIAASports Let these young healthy athletes play! Have their families sign a waiver if necessary. This virus is not simply going to go away anytime soon and it will take a long time to get everyone vaccinated when that comes along. We need to learn to live with this for a while.
