Can anyone help me to identify thease. Recovered from core of palaeochannel fill at depths range 0.5 –1 meter. While I was looking for coal and organic fossils for radiocarbon dating. Colour is black and surface is rough like course sand & breaking easily

@Deepak_Geoarch@sedimentology Thank You Sir,
I am familiar with carbonate nodules and encountered with calcrete layer in several trenches in the area. But not sure about thease as they are very different from my experience of calcrete. This time I am trying coring and found them in several layers.
I have no experience of fluvial coal and not sure about it. The palaeo-channel is in wetlands conditions with different kind of vegetation and following organisms.
Please let me know about possibility of carbon in it and any stratigraphic relevance?
