Overall, not all of us learn from a gamified experience. Some truly do learn better by studying the context, the academics behind the language, and it could do with more options for those who do. And really, the ad thing could help with providing immersion.

I've started using @Duolingo to try to get towards learning Spanish, and it's already so frustrating. People laud that gamified experience when really what it is is they used the predatory microtransaction aspect of modern games, and they never explain a darn thing.

Personally? I say they should integrate the ads into everything better--have them be in your target language. That way, it pays for the app, and the user gets the valuable experience of witnessing the language in a more natural context.

@CTropes DC really will never let this franchise be, will they? Now it will have three adaptations of the series (live action, motion comic, and animation), with a continuation series, as well as the prequel comics and Doomsday Clock. Its desiccated corpse is still trying to be bled.

@pinkstarfruiit I have so many LGBT characters, it's ridiculous. Attached is an image I did for an issue of my comic, showing my characters at a Pride parade. Every single one (even when it's just the tops of their heads) is an LGBT superhero of mine.

@CTropes I can cheat and say my own comic is the one. Almighty Protectors takes place in my home town. Not sure I know of any others that take place in Redding, CA, anyways.
