Considering the heavy rainfall advisory and flood-like situation, the school closure should be extended until 31st July. The Pir Panjal region and Chenab Valley also deserve special attention, as these areas are affected almost every year. Safety should remain the top priority.
In view of the prevailing weather conditions, it has been decided to extend the summer vacation for all Government and recognized private schools in the Kashmir Division and the winter zones of Jammu Division up to 22nd July (Wednesday).

A large number of people in Budhal Constituency, most of them belonging to the tribal and forest-dwelling communities, have received eviction notices from the forest land on which they have been residing and sustaining their livelihoods for several decades.
Any coercive action to evict these families at this stage will have serious humanitarian and law-and-order consequences. The authorities must act with sensitivity and restraint.
It is important to note that many of these claims are still pending consideration under the Forest Rights Act (FRA). Until all claims are decided in accordance with the law, no eviction or coercive action should be initiated.
I urge the concerned authorities to immediately suspend the eviction process and ensure that the legitimate rights of genuine forest dwellers and tribal communities are fully protected.@diprjk@dmjammuofficial@RAJOURIPOLICE@JKForestMin@jkforestdeptt@BJP4India #javidahmedRana

Hope all the issues are resolved soon, with due priority given to strengthening water supply, road infrastructure, and the education and health systems in Tehsil Khawas.
Today called on Honble Manoj Sinha sb and submitted a detailed memorandum highlighting several urgent developmental, administrative, and security-related issues concerning the twin border districts of Rajouri and Poonch, with special reference to Budhal and Koteranka areas.
Chowdhary Zulfkar Ali apprised the Hon’ble Lieutenant Governor of the severe geographical disadvantages and strategic sensitivity of the region and sought special attention towards inclusive development and welfare of tribal and border populations.
Key demands raised in the memorandum included the establishment of a National Law University at Rajouri, declaration of a Tribal Protected Area under Schedule V of the Constitution, proper implementation of the Forest Rights Act, and setting up of a Mini Hydel Power Project on the Anas River, a tributary of the Chenab basin.
He also demanded a thorough investigation into the implementation of the Jal Jeevan Mission in Rajouri district, stating that despite huge expenditure, no water supply scheme in the Budhal constituency has become functional.
Early execution of the Budhal–Shopian Road project, establishment of Fire and Emergency Services Station and a separate Police District at Koteranka, and special recruitment drives for unemployed youth of Rajouri–Poonch were also emphasized.
He also demanded a Medical College in Poonch.
The memorandum further sought regularisation of Village Defence Guards (VDGs), urgent steps to curb the alarming drug menace in the Pir Panjal region, creation of a Pilgrimage Tourism Authority for planned development of Budha Amarnath Ji, Nagli Sahib, Shahdara Sharief and other religious sites, and immediate filling of vacant posts of doctors, paramedical staff, and teachers.
Chowdhary Zulfkar Ali expressed hope that the Hon’ble Lieutenant Governor would take a sympathetic view of the genuine demands and issue necessary directions to the concerned departments in the interest of people living in this border and backward region.
Honble LG listin patiently and assured for redressal of genvenue demands of the area.
Visited Khawas, interacted with the people, and listed the grievances of the area. I am thankful to Gulam Ali Khatana, Hon'ble MP RS, for patiently listening to the problems and providing on-the-spot instructions for redressal.
