This helicopter crash occurred in the Hudson River, Jersey City. Whenever I see a plane crash into a river, I believe the pilot struggled to save lives, opting for water instead of a densely populated area.

@nytimes Serious question for whoever planned the Knicks parade: Do you know weekends exist? Central Park exists? Celebrate all you want — but don’t shut down midweek Manhattan and trap workers, patients & normal humans trying to live their lives.

@nytimes Knicks parade on a random Thursday: great for vibes, terrible for reality.
Workers stuck in gridlock trying to get to their jobs. Patients stuck trying to get to hospitals.
Not against the celebration — but maybe don’t paralyze Manhattan midweek next time?

If you’re actually going to experience the parade — vibes, chaos, and all — then go.
But if you’re just there to film a Reel… stay home and ask AI to generate one. It’ll look way better than your shaky vertical video anyway!

@nycgov@NYCMayor At minimum, make tomorrow a mandatory telecommute day.
No one wants to get screened like TSA with a million fans just to reach their desk.
We didn’t sign up for the chaos.

@nycgov Knicks fans stressed about how to sneak a bag into the parade.
Me, whose office is literally on the parade route: stressed about how to get to work with my laptop bag.
We are not the same!

✨ One of our favorite nights of the year is almost here!
Join us on June 9 for the Museum Mile Festival—from 6–9 pm, stroll Fifth Avenue, enjoy free admission at participating museums, and experience outdoor performances, activities, and special programming along Museum Mile.
At the Guggenheim, explore the galleries after hours, challenge a friend at our outdoor chess activations, and discover artwork by talented District 75 students. ♟️🎨
And just between us… a special giveaway might be in store for a few lucky visitors. 👀
There's something for everyone!
Plus, be sure to stop by our friends at @neuegalerieny! While the Neue Galerie is closed for restoration this summer, they'll be hosting a pop-up experience outside their landmark building, where visitors can explore the architectural history of 1048 Fifth Avenue and learn about the museum's renowned collections of Austrian and German art and design.
See you on Museum Mile! Learn more at the link in bio. ✨
